I had to google "ways to ask someone to lunch" for this and so now the fbi thinks i have no bitches i think
"my dear doctor" "my dear mr garak" im eating concrete
After a long shift in a Cardassian hospital Dr. Bashir is finally home.
two truths and a lie
(another practice in drawing expressions)
were y'all aware that andrew robinson kept a diary written in character as garak to help him develop his acting. were you aware he turned it into a full length novel and published it. were you aware the entire "diary" is actually a series of letters each formatted as "my dear doctor,"
[ID: Artwork for Star Trek Deep Space Nine episode Our Man Bashir.
Bashir is in the centre running across wearing a suit and sweat is dripping off his head. He's holding a gun with blood splatters coming off it.
Behind him, is Garak, enlarged looking upwards. There's a wound at his neck. There are four drawings of Miles, Jadzia, Sisko, and Kira done in blue tones as their characters in the episode put in squares with light green bolder surrounding Bashir and Garak. The title is written in bold red at the bottom. End ID]
thought this scene could use some background music
Okay, so first I found this 👆 and died, it's just brilliant, but frankly, the montage aside, I still have not fully recovered from the fact that this is an actual scene from the show.
But today I learned that the actors, Alexander Siddig (Bashir) and Andrew Robinson (Garak), actually performed a Garashir fanfic, available on YouTube. It's a real thing that really happened! God bless Star Trek fandom, I guess.
Actually, Star Trek has so much unresolved sexual tension in its canon, even for heterosexual couples, that it shouldn't be surprising that the actors themselves would ship the characters they play.
It wouldn't shock me if Jonathan Frakes (and Marina Sirtis?) ship Riker/Troi, it seems that Siddig and Robinson ship Garashir, is there something else like this in the broad ST fandom? Let me know!
Andrew Robinson on playing Garak for the first time.
Recently I decided to rewatch some of my favourite Deep Space Nine episodes and it only made me want to rewatch the whole series, which is what I’m doing now. I like so many of the characters in the show but these two are my favourites.
(I was actually trying to decide between rewatching Star Trek and replaying Mass Effect, so apparently I’m in a bit of a Sci-Fi mood at the moment)
that interview where andrew robinson and siddig el fadil are talking about how they wished garak and bashir had been made a canon couple ... dont worry mr robinson. i saw your chanel boots
