The Picture of Dorian Gray does actually have a loyal adaptation! It’s part of the BBC Play of the Month series and came out in 1976.
The only big inaccuracy is that Lord Henry is now the oldest of the male trio. But it makes up for it with a big bonus: the people who made it saw the queer-coding in the book and fully ran with it. You can tell they knew exactly what they were doing.
