"polnareff is an amazing cook" and "polnareff should be nowhere near a kitchen" do not have to be mutually exclusive statements because chefs are just like that. the best cook you've ever met has a nonzero chance of having been in a fistfight before service at some point. i have had to pull a double to cover for a coworker bc they had a court date for fist fighting a cop. polnareff is realistically the most chef ever in all of jojo's.

additional headcanon about polnareff being a cook! you cannot tell me that avdol doesn't deal with hypervigilance after all those years dealing with the tarot assassins, did you see him catch that hammer coming at joseph. polnareff has 10000% called "knife!" on autopilot bc he was walking with one/you get trained to call it and magician's red popped out like a fucking jack in the box 🧍‍♂️
