Using taxpayer money to house the homeless is considered tyranny.
Using taxpayer money to terrorize the homeless is considered freedom.
It clearly has nothing to do with taxpayer money or freedom.
“Faith, what was the hardest part of your journey to getting housed?”
From this excellent webinar I attended a few months back on the challenges unhoused people face in their struggles to become permanently housed.
Sorry, and the reason I thought of this webinar was because of Frank here:
"Why dont they just get a job?"
Because some fucking cop probably threw out everything they need anyway. Why don't You shut the fuck up.
IMAGE DESCRIPTIONS:
A tweet reading, “Most people don’t know this, but to deal with homeless encampments, our cities have cops go rip the homeless out of their tents, throw all their stuff away, and arrest anyone who doesn’t move. Part of defunding the police means no longer trying to use cops to solve homelessness.”
gifset of an older person with glasses and brown hair captioned “Faith Kearns, Phoenix resident,” answering the question “Faith, What was the hardest part of your journey to getting housed?” She is saying, “Being told I was a piece of shit from the cops. And I wouldn’t amount to anything. Obviously they were wrong.”
Gifset of an older man with gray beard and long gray hair captioned “Faith Urban, Walking Dead Fan;” he is saying, “I’ve had the police steal my ID, my social security card...birth certificates, hygiene stuff, tents, blankets, basically anything the homeless need on the streets to stay warm and somewhat safe.” / end ID
