I also think if you actively discouraged people from voting at any point in this election cycle you’re the last person who should be lecturing anyone today, full offense. And I’m not saying this to finger-point, but I mean…on an objective level, why should you care that Trump won if you said multiple times that he was the same or at least not meaningfully worse than his competition. Be consistent for once.
BLUE GEORGIA
(likes charge reblogs cast)
THERE ARE ABOUT 60,000 VOTES LEFT TO COUNT IN GEORGIA AND THE MARGIN RIGHT NOW IS ONLY 18,000
C'MON BABY
in all seriousness, not only is Biden closing the gap in Georgia (it's down to less than .3%) with actual potential to flip it and get 16 electoral votes
but ALSO Georgia's current Republican senator dropped below 50%, and if that holds then that means that seat will go to a runoff election, and Georgia's other Senate seat is already gonna be decided with a special election too
the fight does NOT end with the presidency, if you live in Georgia you NEED to show up for those elections and vote for Ossoff and Warnock if you can, Georgia sending two democrats to the Senate would be HUGE
if you don't live in Georgia, please reblog this if you can and help spread it!
Do it for Blue Georgia!!!
This is NOT an informed voter (because he knows nothing at all)….but you can be! Do it. Vote. Don’t leave it all up to Laramie.
I trust Larm to stumble into the right choices.
Please, if you can, go vote!!! this is so important!!!
The point of voting blue in 2018 isn’t to make the US perfect. We cannot accomplish that in one fell swoop. There’s gerrymandering, voter apathy, voter suppression, and generations of older party-line fucks we have to deal with.
Voting blue in 2018 is to make it less immediately threatening for PoC, LGBT+ people, the disabled, and any other marginalized demographic. It’s a stopgap against Republicans who are aligned with Nazis, white supremacists, and sexual abusers.
Correcting politics in the United States is going to take decades of new voters staying on top of politics and not falling prey to apathy, like our predecessors.
People telling you not to waste a vote on 3rd Party this midterm aren’t saying “never vote 3rd party.” Republicans have united behind one utterly heinous front. We need to unite behind Democrats, for the time being.
Repeating this key sentence:
“Voting blue in 2018 is to make it less immediately threatening for PoC, LGBT+ people, the disabled, and any other marginalized demographic [WOMEN]. It’s a stopgap against Republicans who are aligned with Nazis, white supremacists, and sexual abusers.”
Reblogging in the memory of everyone who said to me, 2 years ago, “how much damage can he do?” and “it’s like choosing the lesser of two evils” and “you’re overreacting” and “he won’t get elected it’ll never happen”.
we have a long road ahead but today we celebrate. 🍾🎉
Neal Brennan on why Trump is the biggest snowflake of them all.
I want to be really clear about something: Planned Parenthood has done more to prevent abortion than the pro-life movement ever has.
#RECOUNT2016
If anyone is currently confused on what’s happening, JILL STEIN (in a shocking turn of events, I know) has put together a campaign to raise enough money to call for a recount in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
Very recently, a number of analysts have reached out to the Clinton campaign to urge them to request a recount. Why?
- US intelligence has recently admitted Russian hackers were able to intrude into some electronic voting systems. This alone should be grounds for a recount.
- Trump won Wisconsin by 0.7%, Pennsylvania by 1.2%, and Michigan by 0.3%. All of these states showed disproportionate voting results in Trump’s favor in areas that counted ballots by electronic methods
- It was almost statistically improbably for Trump to win Florida like he did, as he would have had to win around 70% of the same-day vote
- Things just aren’t adding up
THE STEIN CAMPAIGN NEEDS TO RAISE $2 MILLION BY FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 25TH AT 5 PM EST. THIS IS VERY TIME SENSITIVE. She’s already raised quite a bit in just a few hours, but that doesn’t guarantee that she will get enough. Here’s a direct statement from the website:
