I did not realize there was going to be an @angbangweek — good thing I'm prepared, with some of my weird ink drawings. Day 1: Seduction.
Morgoth pen sketches. In ballpoint and gel pen.
It’s been a while since I posted Faceless here. If you remember my old alien illustrations, this is the protagonist of one of my science fiction stories. She is a scientific researcher turned space pirate. She was badly injured when the corporation that was formerly funding her and her research, decided to terminate both her contract and her life.
Here you can see her appearance before and after her almost fatal “accident”. Fortunately, she was saved by the medical robot she designed (who is another of the main characters, but robots are harder for me to draw).
After I drew aro-ace Maedhros for @aspecardaweek and called him Macedhros, I saw a tag from @zealouswerewolfcollector saying that they’d pictured Macedhros with a mace—so of course I had to draw it! His clothing colors are loosely inspired by the aro flag, to go with the (m)ace.
Saint Alia of the Knife, as seen in book I of the Dune Series. Ink & watercolor.
Sorry, Grandfather! (But he deserved it.)
“I dream of light”. A 9 page original comic about Jaan, one of the prominent characters in my villain-centric novel (although Jaan himself is not a villain). I’m trying to push myself to actually finish some short comics and practice techniques.
Jaan is a young schoolteacher residing in a village on the edge of a vast, ancient forest. His life is relatively quiet, until increasingly strange and vivid dreams begin to trouble him. When he questions his origins, he is drawn to the distant center of the forest, where someone is waiting for him… Gouache & pencil.
Elrond, Lord of Rivendell. Another watercolor painting of an Elf Dad.
The Black Rabbit of Inlé, from Watership Down. Watercolor painting.
Little landscape sketches in watercolor. All of these are imaginary places, except for the last one, which is loosely based on the Poulnabrone dolmen.
The pro-an-tagonist and POV character of my villain-centric novel: Cir, a spirit of light. Most of these images are of Cir in different hues, but I added a special appearance by Cir’s life partner in the lower left. Watercolor.

One final post for @feanorianweek: Fëanor and the Valar.
1. Melkor attempts to corrupt Fëanor. 2. Manwë weeps over Fëanor’s corruption.
A short, five page comic about big brother Celegorm. Starring Little Celegorm and Baby Curufin—and of course, Papa Fëanor.
For @feanorianweek
Ambarussa for @feanorianweek — BFF twins! I like drawing Amrod and Amras with a flower theme. Ink & watercolor.
For @feanorianweek — it’s Caranthir. Three portraits of Caranthir, to be precise. I was practicing my design for him. Ink, pencil, & watercolor.
