I think it’s very shorted sighted to automatically assume that all people within a marginalized group are “good.” I see this happen in lectures all the time. This often devolves into people weaponizing marginalized identity to evade responsibility.

Part of having mental illness is the need for social support. I think so many people try to hoist their mentally ill friend/family member on therapists in an effort to not have to deal with them. It’s not how it works.
Someone who tried to hook up with me was telling me about her ex partner and was using such dehumanizing language that I felt sick to my stomach.
Whenever I see the name “Jacques” I think of how in elementary school a kid in my class was reading Redwall and when the teacher asked him the name of the author he said Brian Jackass.
