I need to go through my books and see if I have a copy of Crash by JG Ballard. I read it years ago and I know I have copies of several of his other books, but I can't remember if I bought a copy of Crash or if I got it from the library. It's been quite a while since I read it though and I'd kinda like to read it again.
It's fucked up that I see this and think of sex. Crash fucked me up, man. Such a crazy book.
I went to Powell's today and I bought first edition/first printing copies of Mostly Harmless by Douglas Adams (now I only need a copy of Restaurant to complete the series in first editions), the Day of Creation by J.G. Ballard (one of my all-time favorite authors), and Sahara by Clive Cussler. They had a copy of The Vampire Lestat as well, but it was $60 and I couldn't swing it, unfortunately. That would've been an awesome addition to my collection. Oh, and I bought a copy of the Satanic Bible, which I've been wanting to read for a while now.
I'll post pictures in a bit.
I almost forgot that I bought Crash: A Novel today for my kindle. It's been a few years since I read it and I definitely need to read and re-read Ballard more frequently. He has been one of the more influential writers of my 20s.
