Thor stopped and studied the plain before them. It did indeed look like the snow-buried flat surface of a small lake, but it was iced over, and probably had been for centuries.

Thor shrugged. “So?” he said. “It’s frozen, obviously. I'm sure it’ll hold our weight just fine.”

OR: Thor convinces a begrudging Loki to join him on a quest into the icy forests of northern Asgard. Everything is fine, until they come across a frozen lake.

Summary:

Loki shot down the Quinjet and Thor had enough.

He wrangled Loki and beat his face, once, twice, too many times to keep track of. He searched for any remnants of rationality in Loki’s expression, but as he studied him further, he noticed something odd. Loki’s eyes were blue.

Thor might’ve not seen him for the better part of a year, but weren’t his eyes green?

Some sentence Monday!! (Because I didn’t have a wip yesterday lol)

This is from a (really short) oneshot for the whumptober prompt “panic attack”, set during the Battle of New York, because why not?

Thinking quickly, Thor knocked Loki to the ground with a firm kick to the knee and snatched the scepter out of his hand. He pointed the weapon at Loki, pressing the tip of it to his chest, barely catching his brother’s stricken face before feeling the magic consume him.

He heard a foreign voice in his own head ask him what he wished for.

He gave it his answer.

Release my brother from the dominion of whosoever may control him.

When Thor’s vision cleared, Loki was scrambling to his feet, horror plastered on his face, shortly succeeded by rage. Thor dropped the scepter, which clattered noisily to the floor.

“What did you do?” Loki said. “Thor, you imbecile, what did you do?”
