Something that I think ppl who ship both sukka and zutara don't acknowledge enough is the fact that poor Hakoda met both his kids' future spouses on the same day, in the same place and that place just happened to be prison.

AU where AtLA ended on a shot that captured the themes of friendship, found family, and the 4 nations coming together in peace… instead of a shoehorned kiss (and everyone wearing Earth Kingdom outfits..?).

I’ve been a diehard Zutara shipper since forever, but I maintain that the show should have ended without any canon ships except Sokka/ Suki. This “alternate ending” shot is one I’ve wanted to do basically since the finale first premiered, so I’m pleased to have finally drawn it (only 13 years late…).

I’ve seen a lot of people point out before that Sokka and Zuko’s friendship is important because Sokka (and Zuko probably) never really had a friend his own age, and I absolutely agree.

But also consider...

Katara never really had a friend her own age before either. Where’s my Katara & Suki content?

One of the things that bothers me about people saying that Zutara shippers are delusional is that, after Katara forgives Zuko, there are quite a few scenes of Sokka and Suki, followed by more or less similarly framed scenes of Zuko and Katara.

(For what it's worth, there was actually much more focus on Zuko and Katara's hands than Sokka and Suki's, make of that what you will)

How is it not romantic subtext if there are not-so-subtle visual parallels with a canon romantic pairing?

Toph, Suki and Sokka are the muses

katara would be that girl that helps you fix your makeup in the bathroom in a party while complimenting your sense of style or your hair and calls a cab on you if you're too drunk

suki would be that girl that immediately and with no hesitation informs you if any man looked at you weird and gets you home safely if you were scared

toph would be that girl that has no issue starting a fight with others when they disrespect you, standing up to you and then making sure you're okay

the gaang's girls support girls and so should you

Have a bunch of doodles! With colour! Also, Suki came by because she also deserves a vacation and Sukka is the most wholesome thing since puppies. Meanwhile Zuko and Katara are reconnecting and… being awkward :D
