Which fanfics would you recommend to first time dramione readers?

Some of this depends on what the reader is looking for, obviously. Do they want a sweet general story with a little dramione romance, character driven growth, angst, action? Smut? A little of all the above? These recommendations are tricky to give because there is such a wide range of vibes in the pairing, and storytelling styles.

So this list has short and long, sex and general, a smattering of magical lore and creatures, crackfic, oneshots, and a ton of romance paired with various tropes. Everything from Hogwarts-era departures to older divorcees.

Each story is excellent and very very different. A new Dramione reader is going to be directed to all sorts of big epics and a lot of angst, but I think some of these hidden gems are better choices to get a broad sampling.

Please note too, every writer on here has other stories that are incredible. So click through profiles for their other work and THEIR bookmarks. That’s how I obtain any rec that isn’t word of mouth these days.
