Gonna go with the one (Down to the Bone) that's been occupying my brain and free time since Sunday lol. Apologies since that means it's still in the process of being written as a first draft.
📚 Technically a standalone but also part of a collection I have on AO3 because tis a rarepair ship. Like, I think after this one, I will make up a solid 33% of the fandom by number of fics written for it, less by wordcount total since I am not capable of churning out 15k words of smut per fic (sorry). Started as a joke ship between a friend and I and then we started going "wait, actually..." and, well. That's how a crackship becomes a genuine ship, doesn't it?
💖 Hmmm hard to decide atm because I have a few more scenes to write but how about this: The scene I am most looking forward to is when as a group, the characters collectively decide "fuck this place" and make trouble. Or rather, Gay Violence. I'm hoping I can make it satisfying.

Gonna answer for the one that's been stuck in my brain all year and is drafted but not re-drafted/edited etc. bc it is angsty and also needs some rework to fix the tension/pacing/characterization. And it is a monster for something I intended to be "short". Hah. SOON. I promise! Technically have two beta readers but the bulk of the work needs to come from my procrastinating, cowardly ass. I have to be vague but you can probably guess which one this is:
💖 Honestly? Probably the scene between [Protag] and her love interest where they spar and things turn a lil bit heated. The fic isn't gonna be explicit, but it is intended to tease the very small shipperbase that exists. Hoping to fix a bit of that to make it better since one of my betas has more experience with martial arts than I do.
🎶 Oh yeah. I mean, I haven't used pinterest in years so I don't have one of those alas but I have character profiles (in a super private doc bc it's still in progress), plus a reworked outline doc, plus my messy notes and saved links, I am following certain podcasts and youtubers for worldbuilding research etc. It's turned ridiculously serious for something I originally thought would be a 10k oneshot. But I do also have a playlist! (I have maybe 2-3 more playlists made by other people to credit when it's published on AO3 but they could give too much away so bug me when it's out and I'll share them then ;D )

Possibly one of my most bonkers and darkest fic ideas to date, so forgive me for being a bit vague re: where I cut out bits for people reading this who aren't Jilly since I'd prefer to have it more polished before more people know the specifics.

Haven't seen one of these floating around for the recent MTAP tag but here's some gameplay tips I've picked up as a newbie who picked this up while it was 80% off on steam. I was mega stressed early on due to not knowing things and would be happy to pass on advice to save others the stress:
1. Reddit is good for advice and tumblr is penalizing me for links so yeah. Use the reddit community and/or wiki when stuck. Link to a decent set of advice is in the replies to this post.
2. Repair your workshop as soon as possible bc you'll wake up with low stamina daily until that gets done. Doesn't take more than like 30ish or so pieces of wood.
3. Yep the advice to make more than one machine is correct. Even for the blender. Maybe not the cooking setup or basic skiver per se. Yes, this will use up resources and space. Use the For Sale sign to expand space (or be like me and try to cram a level 2 house into a space too small for it 😅).

Kitchen Pantry Leftovers Chicken Curry
Ingredients:
- 3 or 4 lb boneless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into ½-inch pieces - 1 can full-fat coconut milk - 1 Kroger jar tikka masala simmer sauce + ½ jar water - 1 can Campbell’s creamy cauliflower cooking soup + 1 can water - dash of heavy cream - 2 tbsp butter - 2 tbsp red wine vinegar - ½ yellow onion, small dice - ½ cup carrots, small dice - ½ cup celery, small dice - ¼ - ½ tsp garlic salt, or to taste - ¼ tsp ground nutmeg - ½ tsp ground cumin powder - ¼ tsp ground red pepper - ¼ tsp paprika - 3 cups of fully cooked brown or white rice, set aside
Directions:
1. Use nonstick cooking spray (or more butter, if you prefer) in a large, deep-dish saucepan and sear chicken pieces over medium-high heat until browned on the sides. Remove chicken from pan and set aside. 2. Put 2 tbsp of butter and cook the onion, carrot, and celery over medium-low heat until softened, about 10 minutes or so. 3. Deglaze the pan with the red wine vinegar and allow to cook off with the vegetables until reduced, then add the tikka masala sauce, coconut milk, cauliflower soup, heavy cream, and all of the spices (including the garlic salt). Bring to a boil over medium heat and then allow the sauce to reduce slightly, about 15-30 minutes, depending on the kitchen humidity. 4. Add chicken back to the reduced sauce and cook until chicken is fully cooked through and coated in the sauce, about 10 minutes more. 5. Remove sauce from heat, allow to cool a bit, and serve warm over rice.
