you’d never say a word, silently trailing behind adler to every room of his house and leaving your presence on everything that was once his.

hot to the touch, he would always reach out to you but you’d always flinch away. it left a certain ache in adler, you used to appreciate every brush of skin and now you were wordlessly afraid of it. the curve of your back always appealed to him when he laid on his stomach in bed, fingers tracing your body as you faced away from him.

he probably should’ve told someone about the entire thing but when he really thought about it? “bell has been walking around my house for the past fuckin’ month.” probably shouldn’t leave his mouth. “i’ve been hallucinating our mkultra pet and their skin are disgustingly warm.” as a passing conversational comment, completely normal thing to say!

adler would eventually do everything to get a reaction of you, nauseated by your blank face and lack of personality. he’d mostly blow cigarette smoke into your face knowing that you quit, hoping you’d squeeze your eyes tight and tell him off for being mean the exact same way you used to. when he finally gets frustrated enough, he’d wrap his hands around your throat and squeeze like there was life still in you. he’d grow desperate for anything out of you other than silence and expressionless features, even your flinching had stopped. all he got in return was a bullet hole mockingly staring back at him, reminding him that nothing would come from what he was trying to do.

little detail but I love how park and sims have clearly moved on from what went down in Cold War and have made name for themselves doing what they want to do meanwhile adler’s bitchass is kind of surprised when both initially seem reluctant to help him bc they know WHO he is and WHAT he’s really about. not to mention Sims’s little quip back to Russ after saying he’s gone soft…you know Sims more than likely had a dilemma afterwards.
