no but heaven literally IS a simulation. everyone’s heaven is just a simulation of their best memories. and later we see ash “hack” heaven’s mainframe. we’ve seen angels (particularly arch angels) over and over use simulation as a technique for messing with people and / or keeping them contained. gabriel creates elaborate illusions and pocket worlds. zachariah (not an arch angel but still) created the it’s a terrible life universe AND endverse. lucifer gets people to trust him by appearing as the illusion of their loved ones. and michael…michael trapped dean in his own mind with a simulation of his “dream job” owning a bar. keeping him trapped in his own mind like people in heaven are stuck in their memories. even how they treat cas and try to rewire him, they’re hacking into his memories and deleting what they don’t want. anyways, heaven’s whole thing is illusion and simulations. illusions of peace and happiness. so……that ending, huh?
