bonus:
Everyone should know the international sign for Help Me. Let’s make this famous!!
Interesting; I didn’t know this was a thing.
It’s apparently a thing, but it’s a very new thing, so it may need some help being known.
BOOST
A signal like this becomes a thing when enough people know about it. Don’t just spread it on social media - share it with people you know who don’t use social media (especially the Boomers in your life)
For this to work in more cases it depends on the average person knowing it and knowing how to help.
Speaking of which, the video makes it seem like you immediately call emergency services, which is not what’s recommended by the Canadian Women’s Foundation that created and promoted the signal.
In some cases that may be the answer, such as if the person is being taken somewhere or has an obvious injury. But if you have the opportunity to talk to them, the recommendation is that you try to get more details about how you can help.
Helping may look like finding them a shelter (they may not want to google one on their phone or home computer if the abuser checks their history), calling someone for them, or even picking them up to take them somewhere safe. And yes, if they want you to you can call the police.
The signal was originally created for use in video calls. If you see someone use it in that context and you know they’re wearing headphones (aka the abuser can’t hear what they’re hearing, but may be able to hear what they’re saying), you can ask “yes or no” questions to get more details. You can also ask if they have a different method of communication that the abuser can’t access.

DEAN KNOWS THAT HE NEEDS TO SHOW CAS THAT HE DESERVES TO BE SAVED BECAUSE CAS SPENT HIS TIME WITH DEAN TRYING TO PROVE THAT GOOD THINGS DO HAPPEN EVEN WHEN DEAN BELIEVED THAT THEY DIDN’T
FUCK ME
ALL THESE NEW GIFS. IT’S KILLING MEE.. HAALP..
In other news can we recognize that the word “bromance” was a huge mistake on humanity’s part since 95% of the time it’s used to textually invalidate subtextual romantic interaction, and launch that godawful expression off this planet
Agreed
but I also want to say that this fandom has so warped my understanding of the word “humanity” that I had to spend a few seconds squinting at this post in confusion and thinking, “But... but Dean didn’t use the word “bromance,” Crowley did...”
‘Twas brillig, and the slithy toves A stately pleasure-dome decreed. And what rough beast, its hour come round at last, Could frame thy fearful symmetry?
I’ll just wait here then. That’s all I’ll do…
“Everyone you love, could be long gone… everyone except me…”
Yes! The Cas-Dean-Crowley triangle, weirdly gives romantic comedy vibe? Idek! There was oddly dysfunctional couply vibe in s6 Cas-Crowley and Cas pining after Dean, and Crowley moved to Dean in s10 and from Crowley points of view, it's like 'My ex-boyfriend turned me down for his crush so I had a relationship with that crush but it didn't work out so I had to help my ex-ex bf Cas because of my problem with ex.' It's crazy and I don't know what to think, especially with the cut out scene in 9x10
#love the idea that Crowley seduced Dean#as a way of hurting Cas for rejecting him #and now he’s been rejected by both of them#(because they love EACH OTHER and not him no matter how hard he tried to make them love him) #sometimes I daydream #about Crowley making explicit comments #about him and Dean having sex#as a way to rub it in Cas’ face #like ‘no matter what you’ll always have to live with the fact that I had him first’ #but even that won’t give him the satisfaction he craves#because like Cas would care if Dean slept with Crowley #he’d love him all the same (via littlehollyleaf)
No, don’t you see - Crowley owned Dean’s soul first. Because he was King of the Crossroads. Lilith made it all happen, but Crowley owned the lien. And Cas came in and stole Dean away from them.
This wacky cracky love triangle goes all the way back to Hell.
So in season six it’s implied that Cas owns Dean’s soul, or did at one point — that line about leaving a “mark”, a brand — so Crowley seduced Cas to get Dean back. Or, even if he didn’t get Dean in the bargain, being in bed with Cas is no small thing, pun entirely intended.
Do you think … when Dean locked him in a dungeon — isn’t that kind of romantic, by Crowley’s standards? That’s practically a relationship right there.
“I know that’s not the room from The End does anyone know if there was a motel that looked like that?" (via elizabethrobertajones )
I guess it looks like “In the beginning,” precisely the room where Cas was besides Dean when he was sleeping with his jacket indeed covering him.
….
Well then.
"so i’ll just wait here then" is a love song
