Squeezing in a few sightseeing moments in between all the work stuff in London. Somehow I think we managed to bring in some nice weather, so it made for some easy walking around taking in sights like Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace. Nothing like being able to see the London Eye and Parliament from my hotel, though. Wow! And even got to Borough Market and are some amaaaaaazing Indian food (and even found the vegan fish and chips!!). Oh, and our event was phenomenal too. All around a fantastic and productive trip. This week has been crazy with travel across California, and I’ve gotten to see a little bit of the damage from the fires. Landing at SFO was like flying into a brown sponge with zero visibility (I seriously wanted to hug the pilot). The first picture is from my hotel room and you can see a little bit of the poor air quality in Northern California from the #campfire that has hit hard up here. I didn’t get pictures of the damage I saw from the #woolseyfire as I drove back from Santa Barbara this week, because I was driving (had to be safe, people!). But if the charred roadside wasn’t enough to pull at your heart, seeing the sheer traffic backup of people who were returning home from evacuation made it that much more real. Thank you to the first responders putting themselves in danger and pushing themselves to the point of utter exhaustion for all of us. If you are able, give where you can to help. From the Red Cross to the Humane Society, there are tons of reputable organizations where you can donate. (Note that only the first pic is mine.
