Kind of disappointed that Cap won’t even get his own movie. It sounds like Marvel is retconning AOU; thing is, I can’t really see why the Cap-Stark battle is such a big deal - they don’t seem to like each other to begin with.
I don’t know why they seem to hate the idea of having Cap get solo flicks. I mean I know his first solo flick didn’t light up the box office but neither did Thor and he got an actual solo sequel.
And, yeah, I don’t see how they’re really gonna bring “Superheroes are dangerus and must be regulated by our government agencies” and NOT make everyone on the pro-reg side look like a complete buffoon. I mean
1-They’ve made it very clear “Uhm, nobody ever dies no matter how much destruction you see.”
and
2-”Even a group like SHIELD can be totally corrupted from inside by HYDRA”
HOW does anyone look at those two facts and go “Yes, we should trust governmental organizations more than the superheroes”?
Even something like a New Warriors “Nitro” incident (which I doubt MCU would ever show) wouldn’t be enough to cause that in the MCU.
Such a shame too because he’s easily the best character of the actual Avengers (when he’s not being written by Joss Whedon).
There's 2 versions of Steve Rogers in the MCU
