If the new Godzilla is successful at all
I expect the trailer for Godzilla 2 to be all dark and the 2001: A space odyssey music fades until the theatre is silent with Godzilla stomping around again
and then, muffled in the background, the Pacific Rim theme starts playing.
What would be the point? Godzilla would literally wipe the Jaegers and Kaijus out within seconds simply because of the Category he's in. Category : Godzilla. ;)
We finally get a genuinely amazing teaser trailer for Godzilla that brings Godzilla back to his horror roots and feels like a legit Horror/Monster movie and what are the comments we get? Granted, a very, very, very small minority, but still

We all knew this was coming. Pacific Rim meant a lot of new people were attracted to kaiju stuff who had literally never heard of it before…this is the price we pay.
Godzilla would fuck up any of the Jaeger's and Kaiju's in Pacific Rim in a matter of seconds. Why? Because he's Category: Godzilla.
