He’s lying on his back in the tall grass. It’s swaying softly high above him, like tiny dancers performing only for him, caressing his arms and legs, his cheeks. The sun warms his skin, crickets buzzing all around.

It’s summer, his favourite season. The season of rest, since no scholars are coming to the village to pester him with sciences and languages. The season where his dad teaches him stuff instead, but fun stuff! Like where dragons come from and where they will go, why the farmers don’t harvest pumpkins all year round and what the different roles are in the village. How he, his dad, supports every role there is.
