i don't know who needs to hear this, but guilt, self-hatred and shame are not sustainable sources of growth and healing. you can't hate yourself into feeling better, or being better. you can't repeatedly punish yourself for your flawed humanity and expect wholesome results.
what's your sign?

Golden rule of thumb for art kids: reblogging Bob Ross will bless you latest work
The fact that my friend @gennefarious is being Bob Ross Deadpool this year for Halloween, just makes this even more fun

Heads up, tumblr is raising its annual subscription from $39.99 to $69.99 on November 9th, so cancel before then if you don’t want to pay that price.
There's wholesome ships and there's toxic ships, but I'd like to coin 'sodium chloride ships', where the individuals involved are both horrible and dangerous people, but somehow being together renders them surprisingly well-adjusted (if a little salty).
The opposite of this is a 'coke and mentos' dynamic, where the two people are generally chill and likeable but being around each other makes them both wild and chaotic.
Here's the breakdown:
Apparently it's time to start posting and reblogging How to Tumblr stuff again. Lots of people are hopping from Twitter to Bluesky. A big thing to emphasize is that "repost" is the term bsky uses for "retweet", and we need to educate on the difference between "repost" and "reblog" here on Tumblr. We have so many things saying "don't repost things!" and that might cause confusion now that bsky has entered the game. I'd hate to see people avoiding Tumblr because they got yelled at for something they didn't do, because lingo is different.
I'll start: on Tumblr, "reblog" is sharing the original post on your blog for your followers to see. "Repost" is creating a new post with something you saved or downloaded or screenshoted from someone else's blog, and that's highly discouraged here. Please reblog to share the original so the creator can get the interactions too.
TO ELABORATE:
When you reblog using the built-in tumblr function, both YOU and the OP get notes and feedback on the post. You have jumped into the conversation, like replying to a comment thread. (Notes don’t matter on Tumblr because they don’t confer any inherent benefit to your blog, but if that’s a metric you’re used to caring about, then reblogging allows you to receive notes like “someone reblogged this from you!” while OP also receives CREDIT as the originator of the content.)
When you CREATE A NEW POST that contains SOMEONE ELSE’S CONTENT, then you are seen as the originator of that content. Which is a lie. We call that “reposting” here because you have posted someone’s content onto the site again.
Seeing a good post and then clicking the “reblog” button? Good. Seeing a good post, screenshotting, and then clicking the “new post” button? YTA.
