julia oldham, why are there no great female werewolves?

It is bizarre to realise that this video is actually pretty spot-on:

“Vampires are rich and white, werewolves are poor and/or POC” is a trope I’m honestly very tired of.

I’d be totally down for grungy anarchist vampires versus inbred aristocrat werewolves. I mean, the dog breeding metaphor is right there.

Well, Pratchett gave this trope a light going over, particularly in terms of werewolf aristocracy. Can’t remember if there are any poor vampires but some do “run away” to less than glamorous circumstances. Not great on the POC front, but hard to tell, given the descriptions sometimes
