I do not do the art stuff, but I think I'm now understanding why there's not a lot of jessix art floating around.

They're just too dang hard to draw.

It's not like Tup and his dainty little teardrop and top knot, or Dogma where you can slap a v off center his face, give him a close shave, and call it a day, or Fives' little 5 and goatee, or Echo and his standard reg self, or Rex and his blonde fuzz, or Cody and his squiggle scar, or Wooley and his floof, or Hardcase and his bald head and linear lines, or Wolffe and his vertical scar and cybernetic eyeball...

But noooooooooooooooo 🙄

I feel like I need to clarify...

I'm not drawing them, lol. I was searching for art of them, and that was the biggest gripe from artists who did make art of them.

My artistic talent is poorly made stick figures and nothing else 😂

I did draw Jesse, Kix, Tup, Fives, and the Bad Batch as stick figures once, but they're on my other blog

So, apologies to those who followed me last night thinking this might be an art blog... It's not 😅 I just write stuff.

I have the urge to turn fic ideas from my non-cloneshipping blog into cloneship fics, but that is the worst idea ever and would totally tank my anonymity because I've shared a lot of those ideas with others 🙃

It's so annoying. Even some fics I've posted.

I wrote a really angsty Fox and Thorn fic that didn't gain much popularity because there was no romantic pairing. It was just Fox and Thorn, but it could be considered cloneship if it was read through that lense. It's a shame.

Sigh 😮‍💨

I was watching a YouTube short about prison tattoos and they brought up the teardrop.

I did some extracurricular research because it piqued my interest regarding Tup's tattoo.

There seem to be two trains of thought:

1. Signifying that you've killed someone

2. Signifying that you were victimized

Both of these are within the context of prison, which, as far as I know, Tup has never been... or has he? (anything is possible in sw)

On one hand, it could be a simple harbinger of Tup killing (murdering) Tiplar, which sets off the chip conspiracy arc.
On the other hand, it could be a symbol of some type of trauma or violence that Tup went through during his time as a shiny.

Honestly, I think both ideas have merit, but the second one is more fun to think about.

There's another thing about all this that intrigues me. The more teardrops a person has, the more people they have killed or the more times they have been victimized.

Tup has a teardrop on both of his shoulder bells AND his bucket, equalling 4 total.

So... Did he kill 4 people? Before he murdered Tiplar in cold-blood, did he kill 3 clone troopers on Umbara during the unbeknownst betrayal? Were all 4 teardrops a foreshadowing of what was to come?

Or... Was Tup victimized 4 times? Were there 4 different instances where Tup succumbed to some kind of violence or trauma in the years leading up to him joining the 501st?

Or or... Could it be a double symbolism of him killing 4 people AND being victimized 4 times? Let's be honest, Umbara victimized everyone; sentients and non-sentiants alike.

It's too bad that in his death scene, he didn't release a tear because how poetic would that have been? To be victimized one more time by the malfunctioning chip, to have his own body be the killer of himself, and have a 5th tear roll down his face before his last breath.

I don't know how to wrap this up, but I do know there's a lot of angst potential wrapped up in this baby-boi-shaped baby boy 😢

I'm contemplating turning Tully into an actual OC. He's just kinda growing on me 🥺

I don't know what I would do with him, but he's so cute, sweet, and naive, and he already has trauma, so why not?

I have given a name to Tully's "kinda sorta alpha". His name is Clever.

This is their relationship:

Tully is the ball of sunshine (when he's not been kidnapped)

Clever is cool and stoic (also when Tully hasn't been kidnapped)

Tully affectionately refers to Clever as "Evva" (eh-vah)

Clever affectionately refers to Tully as "Tull" or "Tulls"
