so erm! guess who played raincode semi recently! and guess who also! made an au for it!

I wanted this AU to be a sort of hypothetical if shuichi n kiibo were more just.. fun Easter Egg type cameos in the game!!! so no, this is not me connecting it to v3 or anything of the sort! just a fun idea cuz!!!! I really enjoyed raincode and wanted to see if I could blend these two into it like a smoothie :3

ITS HALLOWEEN POSTING TIME BAYBEEEE heres an au I made based off last years official halloween merch designs!! dont ask how kiibos “blood” is even remotely edible for shuichi, he doesn’t know either LMAOO

saiibo ponies real, inescapable even

one of my much much older aus but these doodles are much newer!! mlp is another media special and close to my heart, like sonic, it’s one of the reasons I really picked up art!!!! so ofc gotta mix my favs with it!!

i do have fully colored and planned out designs of these two, but the refs are quite old and outdated (style wise LMFAOO) I’ll need to make fresh new ones sometime soon ehehe

but for a little info, shuichis a unicorn! a more traditional unicorn at that! he’s not royalty or anything but he does come from a long line of strictly unicorn family due to the area he lived in, so he’s got more traditional unicorn traits, like the tail and curved horn!! though he hides his horn under a cap for a long time after moving to a big city with his uncle due to insecurities.. now he lives on his own after having finished school there, but he does still help out his uncle at work!!!

and kiibo is a robot pegasus!! made by the one and only professor idabashi, who is a dragon!!! i would say hes “world renowned” but he’s really just a hermit who keeps to himself, he doesn’t even live around other dragons, nor acts like one.. but his crafts sure are jaw dropping!! kiibo himself is run by a special sort of magic stone, unknown to even the alicorns, that idabashi had discovered on a night out looking for materials. he is a metal sculptor, mending metal plates with the fire in his breath, making toys, trinkets, and art! But he put a pause to that temporarily as he ran tests with said stone and realized its capabilities, and after many many many trials and errors, he created kiibo!!!! idabashi kept kiibo by his side for a long time, teaching him the ins and outs of equestria, it’s history, and language but eventually he felt kiibo would do so much better being around and learning from other ponies instead of being isolated, so! eventually idabashi found a nice warehouse in a city to continue his craft and set up shop, as well as enrolling kiibo into school!! kiibo is also graduated now, but still lives with idabashi, and helps in his shop sometimes!!!

obviously kiibo and shuichi had met through school, as they both coincidentally ended up in the same city, but they didn’t really properly get the chance to interact until afterwards, and!!! yeah!!! there’s some lore!!

this au used to just be the drv3 killing game but ponies but I really wanted to make it more like my sonic au where they kind of… fit into mlp canon if that makes sense? lol

ultimate robotic engineer kiibo anyone? the doodles above are from January!! I am sill SOO proud of this guys design and now that I’ve gotten better at drawing kiibo as a human, I should really draw him more!! back when I first made this design, like?? maybe over a year ago now? I had struggles for the longest time trying to translate kiibo and his design into human properly without him looking kinda off so these may look a bit awkward,,, especially these first ref doodles of him below lmao

edited his ref a bit to fit how I see human kiibo now, but yeah!! I need to come back to this guy sometime soon, it was a really interesting concept to explore! this wasn’t like a talent swap or anything, just a literal hypothetical if kiibo was human! how would the killing game have gone? would he have been treated differently? etc.!! it’s definitely something that gets your brain turning that’s for sure LMAOO

WAHAHAA THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!! im sooo glad I’m not the only one who thought of this bc it is SUCH an interesting concept…. and seeing a bunch of different interpretations of how it plays out would be so fuckingf cool ehehe

so, for my au, it kind of depends on which canon? for non despair, no! the gopher project in a non despair setting would be completely separated from team DR and it’s robots n characters, even the AI running the ship would have zero relation to the kubs/monokuma/usami etc. im honestly still trying to decide if DR would exist all together in the non despair version…

and for the killing game version, they would!! their designs/personalities wouldn’t be all that different though in mine, i feel like the kubs would have cute little spacesuits like everyone else despite not needing them LMAOO same w monokuma!! it’d be a situation where tsumugi somehow snuck the kubs n kuma on board through her luggage and they make their way to the main ship. she uses some program to take out the original ships AI and replaces it w a monokuma virus, to swerve the ship off its original path and stop any one from going outside the ship or taking emergency pods, and also to encourage the commencing of the killing game (though monokuma surely does so himself without the help of a virus) i feel like in a killing game setting on a ship like this itd be so much more dreary… no proper day and night cycles, no concept of time… and no world to go back to..

ANYWAYS IM GETTING CARRIED AWAY, BUT THANK YOU FOR THE QUESTION!! i really need to come back to this au soon, make a comic, some doodles… something ehehe
