Scared to be vulnerable 👉👈
When we know or suspect something would hurt us, we bolster this "weakness" by doing it at a level we can handle. This can strengthen us instead!
(with the possible exception of some movements)

Even if you're already strong, I think it's important to note your "pain-free" strength.
If you can lift heavy weights but have to ice and take medicine after every session, consider scaling back your training at least SOME of the time.
You can start with full range of motion exercises even if they're very light!
Just some food for thought.
Finger pain? Try this knuckle massage!
It's not something I see very often, but can offer some quick relief!
It seems to be especially helpful after a long day typing or doing office work.
For long term finger strength, we can work our grip muscles and finger extensors.
Passive hanging (any kind of bar hanging, really) and fingertip pushups are common calisthenics exercises for this.
Let me know if this helps!
Can you stand up off the ground without using your hands?
While this ability seems very simple for some - there are many who can't do it!
Or at least, can't do it without some cracking and pain.
If this is you - here are some simple ways you can build up whenever you're standing up any way!
Calisthenics for Beginners (2023)
You can learn almost any exercise by building up with easier variations! Here are some examples.
Note: this is a short version of a 26-minute long video called "Home Workout for Beginners (2023)" on our YouTube channel. If you want more details, please check out that video or the Hybrid Routine page: https://www.hybridcalisthenics.com/routine I tried to fit what I can into a short video.
Also, yes my knees go in a bit more than I'd like during my intro jump when I stand up 😅. The one later is better.
We're going to try to schedule a large backlog of videos to post daily for a while! If anything seems out of order, that might be why. Follow for more - have a wonderful day!

Making Yourself Damage Resistant (PART 1)
Life can sometimes shake us up! Here's how we can be a little more prepared.
General resistance training will help condition our bones, muscles, tendons, etc for high forces - those are usually the ones that hurt us!
But we don't *just* want to be stiffly strong. It also helps to be spry and mobile! Injury often happens when we're stretched out - which happens both in and out of the gym or training environment. So consider full range of motion!
You CAN do pushups, my friend!
