––––––––––RYDER WAS NO stranger to getting drunk. but it was rare for him to be drunk and thinking of someone as much as he thought of lorraine. hell. he’s sure no one else has truly taken up that sort of bandwidth in his life, and all he wants to do is bask in it. but here he is, a pleasant, happy drunk. a lopsided grin, his eyes glazed over, drink in hand when someone asks him to describe HER. and in that moment, ryder swears the world stops. he thinks, carefully, before he opens his mouth, a rarity when he’s drunk.           ‘ she’s perfect. ’           he’s almost breathless at the thought of her, wanting nothing more.            ‘ she’s got this smile, fuck. this beautiful smile that lights up the room. just one look has me literally fucking swooning. and she’s so damn careless when she bakes, has got streaks of flour everywhere and icing in her hair. ’          he could ramble about her all night.         ‘ and she takes such pride when it comes to her baking. i swear, if i could i’d take a picture of her with every damn pastry she’s made because.....fuck. ’           he’s overwhelmed at the thought of her, suddenly deciding that being more drunk is the answer. finishing his drink, he interlaces his fingers, an almost dreamy look in his eyes. he could practically see her.           ‘ she’s kind. considerate. funny. fun to be around. and i know she hates the spotlight but she handles it so well. i want to give her the world. want to buy every pastry and drink every latte until she’s happy. wanna cuddle her forever. she’s all i think about. ’         words easily slur together, and it’s clear, without a doubt, that he’s head over heels, maybe even in love. he just doesn’t realize it just yet.
