Rocca Imperiale in Cosenza “Considered the gateway to Calabria, Rocca Imperiale is one of the most picturesque medieval villages in the entire region. It has the shape of a pyramid that slopes gently towards the plain.  On the top the Swabian Castle appears imposing. The ancient village climbs up the hill, with the houses arranged in tiered steps, its paths, steep climbs, the ancient bell tower and military buildings, still retains its medieval appearance.
