Today’s post shows tulip fields in Lisse, Netherlands, which begin to bloom in March and are in peak bloom by late April. The Dutch produce a total of 4.32 billion tulip bulbs each year.

The fire started on July 26th, and is thought to have been started when one of twenty-five Electric Cars caught on fire. The name of the ship is Fremantle Highway and so far one crew member is known to be dead.

They try now to tow the ship to Schiermonikoog to a “safer” place. Should the ship sink, the wadden sea (Wattenmeer), a huge part of the north sea that is also a UNESCO Heritage Site for its huge nature impact, is threatened by all the oil and poison on the ship..

Check out this clip of the Veluwemeer Aqueduct, in Harderwijk, Netherlands. The 82-foot-long (32-meter), 10-foot-deep (3-meter) water bridge allows small watercraft to pass over the four-lane N302 motorway below. Both the aqueduct and the roadway have pedestrian crossings.
