“How do you trust your feelings when they can just disappear like that?” ― Blue Valentine (2010)
She just seems different, you know? I don't know, I just got a feeling about her.
Blue Valentine (2010) director Derek Cianfrance
"Blue Valentine" Review
This is the first movie in a long time to actually put me in such a loving, good mood. The characters were so well developed and thought out, and the story was beautifully bitter. Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams were the definition of mesmerizing. Their performances felt so pure and real. The dedication they have to their characters in the movie is inspirational and satisfying all at the same time. Also, many of the film's camera shots and visuals felt unreal because of how gorgeous they were. I couldn't stop pausing the movie in certain parts just to study it's look. Lastly, I loved the non-linear way the story was told because even with the settings changing constantly, each moment flowed greatly into another. Overall I would recommend this to anyone who is feeling loveless or who is just in the mood for something deliciously alluring. I give this film a 8.5/10. Thanks for reading!
