Transphobia really is a brain rot.

I have a job making TikToks for a local nonprofit and because I’m genderfluid I will present differently in different videos. And I’m AMAB genderfluid so of course jerks in the comments go out of their way to misgender me and call me masculine when I’m presenting as a woman.

But then different transphobes - ones who didn’t see me in a video with makeup so don’t know I’m genderfluid - call me things like “Low T Man” and “ma’m” when I’m presenting as a man…which is my assigned gender. No one has ever taken issue with my masculinity before I’m honestly more baffled than anything.

Anyways, fuck transphobes. Y’all are being real weird about me just existing. Go touch some grass.

In opposition to all politicians who are attempting to criminalize the existence of and supporting of trans children. Supporting trans children is not child abuse, it's vital. Trans children need supportive parents and communities in order to survive and thrive. Parents who support their children are not criminals--and neither are trans children.

I keep bouncing back between being fed up with JK Rowling’s crap and being genuinely heartbroken by it. She has a lot of power and influence, she is potentially the most influential author for my generation, and she could use that influence for so much good. Instead, she is normalizing misinformation and making it dangerous for trans people to exist. And because she’s freaking JK Rowling she’s going to be believed more than actual trans people on our experiences, not to mention decades of medical research. Especially by parents of trans kids who have now been told that medical transition is, “a new kind of conversion therapy for young gay people,” and pointed towards disproven fringe beliefs as if they’re scientific truth. This is a pivotal moment in history when it comes to trans visibility and JKR’s words risk us moving backward, which is just devastating to me.
