[The door opens slowly, hinges groaning in protest. Hot coffee swirls in the pot, dark as the night outside. Eggs sizzle on the griddle, their edges crisp and curling. Diners murmur quietly, voices blending into a soft hum. Rays of light flicker, casting long shadows across the room. Everything feels slightly off, as if reality is bending. A burger glistens under the flickering fluorescent lights. Milkshakes tremble, the glass vibrating on the counter. Even the fries seem to shimmer, their shapes slightly blurred. Red neon signs buzz outside, glowing with an unsettling warmth.]
[Every time I feel so lonely. Walking through the night. More and more I long to hold you. Long to hold you tight. Knowing I'm still in love with you. Hoping you feel the same way too.]
[In the still of the night. Once again I hold you tight. Though you're gone, your love lives on when moonlight beams.]
[If you're a flavor addict, this is your fix. They found me face-down in the street, and on the night you left to find another place to sleep. In rain and regret. FIERI: They said they tried everything but it was no use...]
[Sing news with passion of the pistol. Sing news of the warning by the whistle. A night so dark in the waning. A dawn obscured by slight sky raining.]
[In the still of the night. Once again I hold you tight. Though you're gone, your love lives on when moonlight beams.]
[Then they go dark for the night. That's it. And the poem finds the word that finds the feeling. All right. Let's go. First, we boil our bagels.]
[I had a dream that I kissed your lips and it felt so true. Then I woke up as a nervous wreck and I fell for you. I'll spend the night living in denial.]
[To don't let 'em get you down. Don't let 'em push you around. We're gonna take back the night. FIERI: Everything's gonna be alright. Right. Put a little bit of salt.]
[Now after all the city falls just like the night or an angel does.]
[Like two ships in the night. We're colliding and sinking. Into the black sea of our love. We navigated past the point of logical thinking. Lost sight of the stars up above.]
[Now after all the city falls just like the night or an angel does.]
[Put the pie crusts in the refrigerator for the night, and in the morning it's relaxed.]
[This is my favorite restaurant on Maui. Firing fish taco. Surprised if they didn’t do very well in there... Night fell. MORRIN: Pulled pork quesadilla going on the plate. I love supporting the boys.]
[RIGHT. RED PEPPER. GREEN PEPPER. EVERYTHING IN RAW. THIS NIGHT, THY SOUL MAY BE REQUIRED OF THEE I'VE EVER SEEN MADE ON TRIPLE "D."]
[AND THAT LAUGHS IN MY FACE, MY FACE EVERY NIGHT. OR THE POISON THAT TOOK MY LUNGS AND THAT KEEPS ME FROM FEELING WARM. I AM A MEATBALL-MAKING MACHINE. ALL RIGHT, LET'S DO IT THEN. WHAT ARE WE STARTING WITH? THE FIRST STEP, WE MAKE A VEGETABLE SOFRITO FOR THE MEATBALL MIX. OF COURSE WE DO.]
[Roasted green bell pepper. Night Comes to the Cumberland. -Whoa! -Coming in hot!]
