Crooked Kingdom launch party ticket details!
Can’t wait to see Leigh Bardugo in NYC to celebrate Crooked Kingdom, the sequel to the #1 New York Times-bestselling Six of Crows? You’re not alone!
Tickets for her launch event September 26 are selling out fast and we’re getting some questions about which tickets to purchase, so we wanted to send out a PSA so every fan gets the ticket / book they want!
Here’s everything you need to know about tickets and other ways to get to Leigh’s Crooked Kingdom launch party!
- Want to pre-order a copy of Crooked Kingdom to go with your ticket for admission? Buy a general ticket with a signed copy!
- Already pre-order your copy of Crooked Kingdom from elsewhere and just want to see Leigh and have her sign your already owned (or purchased at The Strand the day of) books? Buy a general ticket with a gift card!
- Can’t make the event but want to order a signed copy of Crooked Kingdom? Pre-order it here!
- Wish you could go to NYC for this event but live far away or otherwise aren’t able to attend for any terrible reason? Enter the official Crooked Kingdom Launch Party Sweepstakes for a chance to win a trip to NYC where you and a friend will be VIP guests at the Crooked Kingdom launch party!
Fancy facts:
1. The gorgeous hardcover of Crooked Kingdom will feature RED STAINED PAGES and new art by Keith Thompson.
2. The Six of Crows Boxed Set will include hardcover editions of Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom and it is absurdly beautiful.
3. The Grisha Trilogy Boxed Set features paperback editions of Shadow & Bone, Siege & Storm, and Ruin & Rising, AND will include a collectible poster-size MAP of the Grishaverse by Keith Thompson. These paperbacks include Mal’s Letter, “The Tailor” (Genya’s POV chapter), and “Demon in the Wood” (a Darkling prequel story). Also a whole lotta interviews with me.
All of them go on sale September 27th. Pretty sure you can skip work or school that Tuesday and just claim a Grisha holiday. It’s federal law.
(And if you preorder, save your receipts cuz there WILL be preorder goodies coming.)
Four months to go. It’s gonna be real hard not to give away spoilers before then.
YESSSSSSSSS!
SOOOOOOOOO COOL!

Beware the Ides of March...and check out some of our favorite recent YA chockfull of deceptions and betrayals.
Our copy of The Winner’s Curse by Marie Rutkoski...with only a few of our favorite passages bookmarked.
We’re rereading The Winner’s Trilogy by Marie Rutkoski, and here’s why you should too!
- Your memory will be fresh and your heart still feeling all of the feels for when The Winner’s Kiss is on sale March 29. Rereading the first two books in a trilogy to prepare for book three is like binge-watching the best season of your favorite show before watching the finale. (I mean, how much more satisfying is the series finale of Buffy the Vampire Slayer after you’ve watched the greatest hits from the show?)
- You’ll get to relive Kestrel and Arin’s first meeting, the tension, the tentative steps towards friendship, then towards something more…
- Marie Rutkoski’s beautiful writing. Not only does the series have an amazing story, but the author’s writing is breathtaking and reading The Winner’s Trilogy is being completely enveloped in Kestrel and Arin’s world. We might have missed our subway stop this morning when we started our own reread early…
- Kestrel is a strong, independent protagonist who, unlike a lot of other similar heroines, isn’t necessarily a great warrior. Kestrel’s best and most used weapon is her brain.
- Kestrel’s smart, but you forget just how far ahead of everyone else she is (usually) until you reread the series. Like, remember that one time when she blackmailed that person about that thing?
- Arin is also a strong, conflicted, brooding leading man who is also sensitive, supportive (OK, unless he thinks you manipulated him), and makes the tough sacrifices for the good of his people.
- Arin and Kestrel are matched in their ability to manipulate, in their intelligence, and their capacity to care, not only for each other, but also for their people and the bigger picture. They are OTP.
- There is kissing. Betrayal. Mind games. Oh, the mind games in the first two books. Rereading that balcony scene: “She’d felt it before. She felt it now: the pull to fall in with him, to fall into him, to lose her sense of self.”
- The feels. THE FEELS. THERE ARE SO MANY FEELS. The Winner’s Kiss is a beautiful, action and emotion packed book. The build up from the start of Kestrel and Arin’s stories to the ending in this third book is so absolutely perfect, the ending will make you fall in love with this trilogy all over again.
- Deception. Connection. Duels. Revolution. Truces. Spies. Betrayal. War. Love. Hope?
