VOLTRON Cupcakes!
The topper is designed after the ignition keys in the 80s cartoon, “Voltron: Defender of the Universe”, that I grew up with. The frosting colors represent the pilots of Team Voltron; Pidge, Hunk, Lance, Keith, Sven, and Princess Allura (again, from the show I grew up with). I am LOVING the new Voltron on @netflix, by Studio Mir and @dreamworksanimation! It is AMAZING! I couldn’t not make something to celebrate ;). The show is its own, new take on Voltron, lovingly created with the previous Voltron series in mind. It’s like they discovered the heart of Voltron and built the show around it. It’s utterly fabulous. :)
I’ve really been looking forward to the US premiere of “Miraculous Ladybug” (or “Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir”) on @nickelodeon on 12/6! (Check out the official Nick page here.) It’s a joint French, Japanese, Korean CGI animation from Zagtoon with heavy influences from the magical girl genre and anime in general. The animation and characters look so fantastic!
To celebrate the show I made these little ladybug and bell appetizers! (Recipe below). Cat Noir has a big yellow bell as part of his costume. It’s nice to see a boy wearing a cat outfit for a change!

Ingredients: Red & Yellow Cherry Tomatoes Round Crackers (I used rice thins) Cheese Spread (I used Alouette brand) Medium, Whole Black Olives Seaweed/Nori Sheets 1/4 tsp. Balsamic Vinegar (EDIT: I accidentally typed 1/2 tsp originally!) 1/2 tsp. Honey
