Batman Begins (2005), dir. Christopher Nolan
Inktober, I have failed you!! I only managed to do 2 inked pieces this month, which ain’t great. For this is a bit of fanart of Bruce Timm’s redesign of Scarecrow he did for the final season of Batman: TAS. I always thought he was creepy and hoped this design would show up in other mediums.
Scarecrow Costume Evolution
Scarecrow received an extensive redesign for The New Batman Adventures in what Bruce Timm described as a “radical departure” from Crane’s previous depictions in Batman: The Animated Series. According to director Dan Riba, Timm wanted to go from “just making a scarecrow” to having Crane “almost appearing like a corpse”.
The door was open and he still needed to crash through the fucking window
I don’t know what I like better, the sound effect “phoot” or the hilarious poses that Scarecrow and Batman have contorted themselves into.

Another one
Batman Begins (2005)
Scarecrow visits Party City to stock up on some supplies.
Scarecrow by Dan Panosian.
@noah-kuttler bless you for tagging them.
I love these two panels, he’s literally complaining that there aren’t enough synonyms for fear! I suppose the forty-six that I found on thesaurus.com will never be enough to please the guy! hahah~ (and then not two seconds later he says he wants a million synonyms instead)
All comics posted are scanned by myself at 300dpi or higher
Being dramatic level: Jonathan Crane
I was challenged to draw the animated series Scarecrow.
Now to commissions.
Batman Begins script directions for this scene included: “Crane studies Falcone. Considering. Sighs. Crane shrugs. Leans forward.”
No mention of “Crane removes his glasses.”
Thank you for that Christopher Nolan!
