Captain America: The First Avenger is not quite the level of abominable that such weak MCU films as Age of Ultron or Thor: The Dark World may be, but it is perhaps the most decidedly mediocre. For a film all about the most noble and unapologetically heroic character in the MCU, First Avenger lacks the sincerity or nobility of it's central character, and comes across as a clunky, rather tedious and forgetful affair, which is a shame, since there is potential for greatness here.
