I watched The Director and The Jedi
And I fucking love Rian Johnson. He’s so wonderful and he made such a unique and different star wars movie. The documentary really makes you appreciate how truly special the movie is, and how Rian’s own sensibility makes it such a stand out among the other star wars movies.It’s no wonder they gave him a whole new trilogy to develop. He’s just amazing and I love him, and he made my all time favorite star wars movie.

To every person, hoping that JJ will “save you” and “retcon TLJ”. Prepare yourself to be disappointed :)
I really hate to burst those people’s bubbles, but while the screenplay for 9 was probably only finished recently, the entire arc of the trilogy has been planned for YEARS. JJ Abrams isn’t going to “save” anyone… He’s been involved from the very beginning, he’s TOTALLY COOL WITH ALL OF THIS.
He literally described Rey and Kylo’s interactions in TFA a FUNDAMENTAL PREREQUISITE to the rest of the story as it unfolds lmao man it must really suck to deny something so vehemently for 2 whole years and shit all over anyone who accepted/liked it, only to have episode viii come out and yank that rug made of faux moral superiority right out from under you hahaha
JJ is the EXECUTIVE PRODUCER of The Last Jedi. Why would he change something he already approved?
