Alex Rider
season 2 episode 7

Okay maybe this is an odd thing, but I appreciate that they let the teenagers in Alex Rider look like teens: baggy clothes, sneakers, acne, the whole nine. None of the girls are weirdly sexualized, none of the boys are CW hot. It makes a visceral difference when they're in danger because they don't look slick, or sexy, or badass-- they look like kids.
The verisimilitude is *chef's kiss*

You know what really sells season 2?
Otto's facial expressions.
Like, you can see this kid coming apart at the seams in several scenes. He's desperate for people to take him seriously -- the cops first, then Blunt, and later Sabina -- and it comes across as half-crazed and it's no wonder they don't believe him.
And it just comes across so well to the audience that he's desperate but also that it's reasonable for everyone else to think he's just "psychologically damaged" and seeing things.
i’m sorry Serpent, Alex Rider, Season 2
Alex being a little shit - 3/?
Love how Alex is in general pretty quiet and sweet, but when you piss him off you unlock ungodly levels of snark
