(Calango: I’m there- I’m back there. You look at me, I’m shaking trying to light a cigarette.)
(Luba: I notice that- I've finished the bandages, right?)
(Cellbit: Yes.)
(Luba: I notice that and head towards Kaiser.)
Joui: Ah, Kaiser.
(Luba: I hold his hand. I look into his eyes.)
Joui: Kaiser. How are you?
Kaiser: (Groans) The same thing that always happens happened, Joui.
Joui: The same thing that always happens happened, and we’re going to deal with it the same as always, right?
[Kaiser groans again, distressed]
Joui: Our way, right?
Kaiser: Okay, okay.
(Calango: I’m sweating- I’m in a cold sweat.)
Joui: Let’s do- Let’s do what we do best and finish off these zombies in the car, okay?
Kaiser: Okay, okay. Alright.

Kaiser: Joui.
Joui: Yeah?
Kaiser: Sorry for earlier, I- I don’t know, sometimes I forget that you and Arthur are the only things left for me.
Joui: Ah. You know that my temple- My body is a temple, right?
Kaiser: ... Yeah.
Joui: Give me a cigarette.
(Calango: I look at him like, "You?”)
Joui: I wanted- I want to, I don’t know, do this with you. You’re my best friend.
(Calango: Alright, I take it out and give him a cigarette.)
Joui: Along with Arthur.
Kaiser: Oh I know.
Joui: How do you do this?
Kaiser: It’s just putting it in your mouth and sucking.
Joui: Sucking?!
Kaiser: Yep.
[Joui takes a drag of the cigarette and starts loudly coughing]
Kaiser: I did the same thing my first time. I even questioned myself, I asked how could Thiagão like this so much. But then some time passed and I found out why.
Joui: (Voice strained) What a horrible thing. (Coughs)
Kaiser: (Softly) I know. (Pause) And so… How did you feel just now with- with that of Erin and all that?
Joui: The same way I felt... in that place.
Kaiser: Ah, you- I spent the last few months thinking that, at the end of the day, what matters is surviving and there I ended up making up this ridiculous name that people would call me by instead of my name to see if I- I don’t know. To see if I couldn’t really connect with anyone or- You know, like, not- Trying not to bond with anyone, but the only thing that went through my mind just now was what we went through that other time, and I don't think a name is going to stop me from feeling what I feel, right?
Joui: Honestly, I think that connecting with people is what makes you stronger.
Kaiser: Right. I don't think it will- I don't think my ridiculous name will save me from feeling scared, probably. Or sadness.
Joui: I don’t think it’s ridiculous but I also- I wouldn't mind going back and calling you Cesar again if that’s what you want.
Kaiser: Oh, whatever. Call me whichever way you want.

Did you know that in Desconjuração, Kalera, Erin's Player, got so much hate for playing Erin and not making the choices the fandom wanted her to do? And by so much hate I mean a lot of hate 😔
Jesus fucking Christ, no, why. Kalera is so incredibly sweet and Erin is SO fucking cool. Look, I don't even fucking care about the ships or anything, but look at this screenshot I took of the first time Joui and Erin properly interacted. Kalera and Luba are communicating sheer volumes here. And I loved them so so much!!!!

The scene is supposed to be very harrowing, but I just can't stop laughing watching Calango trip over himself trying to make the other people realise his character is completely out of it and them continuously brushing it off. My brother is zooted out, can't remember who he is and Joui just keeps talking at him without any indication that he's noticed he hasn't answered any of his questions for the past 10 minutes like haha that's just my amigo Kaiser! He's a little shy and dissociates sometimes :) Meanwhile Kaiser is trying to astral project into his polaroids to get a sliver of sanity back.
