The event will be held from October 25 to October 31.

  2. Day 2 (Oct. 26): favorite quote(s)
  3. Day 3 (Oct. 27): favorite character(s)
  4. Day 4 (Oct. 28): favorite scene(s)/moment(s)
  5. Day 5 (Oct. 29): spooky vibes

Villanelle + the caged bird

The Caged Bird Metaphor is a common Animal Metaphor whereby a character—often a woman or girl in an oppressive environment—is associated with a caged bird, symbolizing their sense of confinement and longing for freedom. This trope is effective because birds in the wild tend to represent freedom due to their enviable aviary capabilities, making it all the more tragic when one is deprived of that birthright.

You can’t honestly think you’re happier now. A broken-winged suck-up. All I know is that for the first time in a long time…I feel at peace with who I am. Whatever that may be.

“You know it’s funny. I close my eyes and I try to picture him, and I see someone an awful lot like you. I think you do too. I think if he weren’t so bent on being your enemy, he’d be your friend. When you realize the mistake you’ve made, don’t try and find me. I don’t ever want to see you again.”
