Polyamory is when a person has multiple romantic/sexual relationships at the same time with the consent of all partners involved. The blue stripe represents openess and honesty between all partners involved. The red stripe represents love and passion. The black stripe represents solidarity with those who must hide their relationships from those outside of the relationship. The pi symbol represents the first letter of polyamory and the gold color represents the value we place in our emotional bonds with people.
The red panda was chosen due to their reproductive habits. During the mating season, they can be found in small groups and both males and females mate with multiple partners.
