hello! ◕‿◕ oh, cool question!! and a hard one. I'm curious to see if Harding's new, unexpected magical powers have any influence on what skills are available to her. like maybe her expression of magic is kind of like a hedge mage (magical talent like a flowing river.. etc), instinctive, and it helps her arrows never miss and have magical effects on impact or something? (reminds me of some theorizing on Sera) when I look at her tarot-style art, the white feathers and light coalescing around her bow making me think of that kind of idea.
I'm also curious about Bellara. Her unique ability is Tinker, for interacting with ancient elven technology, artifacts, constructs and her environment. her gauntlet (discovered by the Veil Jumpers) seems to be an ancient elven device. we know it was created to make manipulating magic easier. I'm always interested to learn more about ancient elven lore and ancient elven anything in general, so this one is especially interesting to me too. and I wonder how different the Veil Ranger spec is to what Bellara can do? Veil Ranger is mostly an archer thing, albeit for rogues not mages, and Bellara has a skill called "Fade Bolts", which is some kind of magical or Fade-related hail of arrows[?] or bolts of magical energy in the shape of arrows[?].
also Lucanis. because like, something rly interesting is going on there in order for him to have purple wings sometimes. I really wanna learn more about that!! and how it intersects with what's going on with him, his backstory (itchy eyeballs when he senses weird magical stuff, his death or 'death' etc) and his storyline (his tarot card makes it seem like there's something inchresting going on with him too).
Veiguard question! So we know you can’t give armour you craft/find in the field to companions, but did they say anything about weapons for them? Will they be set like Andromeda’s squadmates?
hello! ◕‿◕ I haven't seen anything about weapons specifically (could totally have missed it). for companions and gear, what I've read is:
Q. Will we be able to change companions' appearances and outfits, or are they fixed, similar to Dragon Age II? A. Matt Rhodes: "Yeah we, um, Dragon Age II was, we loved how the followers turned out in that, but it was, it was sad given, given our constraints that we had to keep them with just one basic outfit. So we really tried to make some space for them this time around, so, they still have, kind've iconic color palettes and things like that, but they do have a wider range of appearances that you can find for them. Some are just cool, but then there are some that are tied directly to their narrative and just kind've, what's happening in their life." [source: the Discord Q&A on June 14th].

Oh man, I hope the ME boxers become canon in universe. The next game involves helping out some underwear models and we just see them all showing off the Bioware underoos line.
canon in-universe N7 boxers would be neat, like how they canonized the N7 hoodie for Shepard in ME3! fanart often has Shepard in N7 boxers or N7 athletic gear, it is a fanon that I like a lot.

That was the caption that Fabrice Condominas had accompanying the cellphone wallpapers of Sara and Scott Ryder that he tweeted. :) I think it was light-hearted and in reference to the fact that the first phone wallpaper of them both had them not fully armored (minus helmet). but on that note.. I mean, you probably can? the American age rating for the game now contains “full nudity”, lmao. maybe on the ship only though, we don’t wanna terrorize the locals ;]
Little bit of speculation here but! I kind of have an idea for what the other 4 starting profiles are if we assume Operative is Infiltrator and Scrapper is Vanguard. Leader has Energy Drain and a team support skill, similar to what Sentinels could do in ME2, very good support characters and good at removing defences. Biotic can then be assumed to be Adept, Technician as Engineer, and Security as Soldier. Could be wrong though!
The 6 options for Ryder’s background training relate to the 6 classes from the trilogy. From inference & elimination my own assumptions are that it’ll look like this
and then Leader and Security could go either way around with Sentinel and Soldier. I think your way for those 2 is more likely given your point about Leader there :)

Hey, sorry, to my knowledge we don’t know anything about hair-color options other than what was recently confirmed about the cyan-shade being an option in the CC. However, people from the press were recently shown the CC, and are able to talk and answer questions about what they saw from tomorrow onwards. Hence, we’ll probably know this sort of information about chargen very soon. :) Keep an eye out.
I just realised something from the Combat trailer. The weapon that was equipped to Ryder in the Weapon Select screen was an SMG called a Charger VI. It looks an awful lot like the Tempest SMG from ME2 and 3. Think they just changed the name in order not to confuse it with the ship?

yeah, sure seems like they’ve changed the name of the Tempest SMG in order to avoid confusion with Ryder’s ship :) just makes sense from a pragmatic perspective too.
