Don’t mind my 1am headcanons but I absolutely l i vE for Bucky Steve & Sam sharing a house together and just bein do mestic
- They move in and after they finish unpacking Sam and Steve make a box fort out of all the extra boxes and Bucky is just there like “get out of there u literal children” - platonic cuddl es - Bucky n Sam having playful banter & Steve is always stuck between them -They get into a debate one day about which way the toilet paper roll goes -Steve is using the bathroom and Bucky just b u r s t s inside with no explanation and starts rearranging the toilet roll -Bucky finds a Power Bottom 69 shirt (u know the one) in Steves closet and asks “What sports team is this?” and Sam just dies - “it’s gif” “no, it’s jif” “what’s that?” -it’s hot outside, only one fan in the house, looks like it’s ‘everyone sleeps in Steves bed’ time! - Steve trying 2 get Bucky to remember stuff about when they were kids and Sam just bursts in like “I remember that!” And Bucky gets all confused and Steve just sighs - p i l l o w f i g h t s - Everytime Sam makes a pop culture reference Steve and Bucky just look at each other, puzzled - Sam has to explain the meaning of “Netflix and Chill” to them after Steve gets all protective thinking it was cyrofreeze joke - Bucky and Steve being literally 100 and having no idea how smartphones work - Sometimes Sam will walk into Steve and Bucky asleep cuddled on the couch and instead of leaving them alone he’ll literally climb on top of them - di d I mention p I L L O W F IG HTS - Steven invites Sharon over one day and she starts flirting with him and Sam and Bucky say “back off he’s mine” in unison - Bucky leaves empty plum bags and pages out of his note book all over the place and Sam and Steve pick up after him and organize his stuff bc Protective Friendship™ - Sometimes Steve will wake up early to Sam and Bucky reenacting chopped while making breakfast but he doesn’t say anything even though their judge impressions are hilarious - Bucky brings home a puppy one day with no explanation - Steve getting out of household work with the excuse “But I’m Captain America!” -Sho p p in g tog ether - Bucky finds a Donald trump campaign sign outside their house and shows Steve and they laugh bc puns while Sam tries not to ruin it for them -but like, half their conversations are just terrible puns - fighting over whose hair products are whose
I could go on forever but I will spare ur dash but feel free to add on morE

“Yes! I’m always a slut for Doritos.” Sam exclaimed as Natasha threw him a little red bag.
Bucky cocked his head to the side.
Hmm. Sam being a slut for something sounded extremely positive. But chips? How is one a slut for chips?
He sighed, and pushed himself away from the kitchen counter. He was going to need a computer to figure this one out.

“BUCKY! PUT ME DOWN!”
Sam heard the banging racket from down the hallway
“BUCKY WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU TAKING ME?”
The angry voices got closer and Sam saw Bucky with Steve flung over his shoulder, metal arm around his ass to keep him from wriggling down. Steve was kicking his legs, looking very much like a two year old.Bucky walked into the living room and plopped Steve down, right in front of Sam.
“There! You said you were always a slut for Doritos, but you can’t have sex with food. The internet says Steve’s a Dorito. So here. I brought you a Dorito.” Bucky looked proud of himself. “I figured we could share him.”

Steve and Bucky just picking up Sam like it’s nothing though.
Hugs always end up with Sam’s feet dangling in the air. Steve and Bucky love to lift Sam up by the ass and place him on the counter so they can get into that favorite spot between his legs and kiss him mercilessly, damn the burning food.
Sam wants to be annoyed so bad but he can’t help but be turned on by the sheer physicality and ease his boys have.
(and then there are the times, one too many for comfort, where they’ve had to carry Sam out of a deadly situation)
(and then there are the far more often times where Sam has had to carry them, catch them, hold them because really tho Sam Wilson actual superhero, no enhancements needed)

I didn't see anyone send ship suggestions. Kinda boring with my Sam ships though, but like… Steve. Sam and Steve. I could see it so much. It started out as a 'maybe' for me, then I was like 'you know, maybe I could set Stucky aside. This seems so much more likely, Sam's got to be the healthiest of the three by far.'

Honestly, I personally think Sam and Steve have a little TOO much in common. Not saying they won’t work if they were to be in a romantic/sexual relationship but I kinda brotp them more, tbh. That and Steve needs a friend (and a friendly lil angel figure on his shoulder) who’s not there to try to get into his pants since basically everyone else kinda is. (I mean, look at him) I still ship them but not as much as…
I still ship Stucky to hell and back. There’s no setting that aside.
More than SamSteve, I ship the heck out of SamBucky. Sam and Bucky has more differences in their chemistry and it’s good for a lost and confused Bucky to have Sam to rely on without the pressure that Steve might (unconsciously) put on Bucky when the Bucky Steve knows from the 40s was about 3 years ago for Steve when Bucky can’t remember who that was? Sam is a new start for a recovering Bucky.
I think a lot of Sam being mentally healthy comes from his healthier outlook on life in general. He lost his wingman and best friend in the war, right in front of his eyes too, and he’s not getting him back but he’s channeling that towards helping others instead of letting it drag him down.
But you know what? OT3. Make it happen. Both Steve and Bucky needs a bright ray of sunshine like Sam eheh.
