I like creative mind projects. This became one of them.
Alright let’s set the basics of this ‘show’. The Xavier Institute, situated in Salem, Westchester, is run by Charles Xavier. A professor, doctor, and world renowned author and scientist. However he possesses a secret, a discovery he made on his travels abroad: mutants. He has returned home and opened a school for those said mutants, and we follow his ‘first class’.
Our main characters, at least for season one, would be the og five. Scott, Jean, Warren, Bobby, and Hank. And guess what? The school actually is a school. They take classes taught by Charles, and do superhero stuff on the side. Here is their everyday clothes:
Think the vibes of X-men Evolution. The show would focus on the dual life of the kids, but would also focus on them being kids. The trouble they get into, the antics they get up to. The drama that comes with being a teenager. Additional clothes(on colder days)
So what is everyone’s backstory?
Scott Summers Scott has a very similar life to the one we know. Parents dead in a plane ‘accident’ and him being separated from his brother in the foster care system. He goes from house to house until his mutation manifests. In which he is thrown into a few bad situations regarding his foster parent using him for his powers, before being found by Charles. Scott was the first student to live on campus, but by far not the first student, however he sees Scott as a father(even if Charles doesn’t see him as his son). He is a mix of the cautious and rather reserved. He’s malnourished body earned him the nickname Slim, but don’t let the meek act fool you. He is sarcastic as you could imagine and has a very strong moral code. He will make a good leader.
Jean Grey Jean’s telekinesis came to her when she was young. Charles has been a constant figure in her life since then, almost taking on what she might call an ‘uncle’ role. He has been working with her for years, and was the first to know when her telepathy manifested, at the death of her best friend. To Charles, she was his first student, and the closest thing he feels he has to a kid. She joins the team last, the premier episode being about her moving into the mansion. She is feisty and spirited. The most reckless of the five, but also oddly balanced in responsibly. She knows she’s powerful and she fears it.
Warren Worthington III Warren’s wings did not grow in until he was away at boarding school. Lucky for him, he could hide them well at first by dropping all the sports he played. Warren used to play the part of an upstuck rich kid very well, but that never was him. When his wings fully came in, he spent the nights saving people from muggers and robbers. He realized it felt good to do something his parents would never do. When Charles offered him a place at the school he toke it, and has been learning to move past his rich ego, however some habits are hard to break. Warren still loves posh language and loves the fact that he is the richest among his friends, but also has a genuine want to help others.
Bobby Drake Bobby always knew he was different. He was gay. Something he found very hard to hide. That was until he found out he was a mutant, something he could hide behind. Bobby’s manifestion consisted of him freezing his entire room and himself, in a very Elsa manner. His parents were outraged, which caused Bobby to realize he could never come out to his parents. Charles came and wiped his parents mind, making everything easier, but Bobby still has the secret he has told no one. A secret he still hasn’t fully realized himself. Bobby hides his self loathing and anxieties behind bad jokes that he hops will be funny. As the youngest on the team, he often deals with the need to prove himself.
Hank McCoy Hank was good at hiding. His physical mutation made him very ape like in appearance, but if he stood the right way, played his card rights, and knew the right people, he could make everyone look past it. He was a genius, but hid behind a football jock exterior, an explanation for his body that made people look past him. Hank joined the school under the belief that he would not need to pretend anymore, and so he let go of his football alter ego. He prefers his academic side and is interested in pursuing the world of knowledge. He has a very academic way of speaking, but oddly really understands human emotion. He pushes himself hard and loves any and every form of learning.
In this show, the X-men was created by Charles as a way to get the public ready for the announcement of mutants, but they become so much more. Charles originally thinks that if the public can see super-powered people helping the world, they will be less likely to attack those people. He designs his perfect team, and even designs their suits.
The team….likes them….kinda
Within the first season, mutants would be exposed to the public and the X-men’s fight focus on the fight of oppression and proving they can be good. Teased in the final moments of season one, Scott will reveal the x-costumes he has designed for everyone. These would be the suits worn from then on forward, representing a switch from being Xavier’s X-men to the X-men that fight for mutant kind.
Additionally we would have lots of very weird love triangles!! Hank is not apart of it, because he very easily finds Vera who becomes his girlfriend. Bobby has a crush on Scott however. He plans to go to the grave with this fact. Warren and Scott both like Jean. Maybe they like each other….who knows? Jean on the other hand has no care in the world for romance at the moment and misses every interaction.
Some of the prominent names that would show up in the first season is of course Magneto. Magneto would be the battle for the first episode, and then there for the reveal of mutants, and then the final battle. He is the big overarching ‘villian’. Other villains would consist of classic 60’s villains such as Vanisher and the rest of the brotherhood. However Scarlet Witch and QuickSilver would not appear till season 2.
Additionally Xavier has a divorcee(that’s not Erik shocker) that is Moria McTaggert. I love the idea of them being bitter exes that have tea with each other and talk shit. Moria is mainly a doctor in Scotland, but would make appearances when one of the kids get to injured. Additionally she has ties to the CIA and aides Charles that way.

Can we talk about the X-men comic “Magneto Testament”?
I had read this early on in my comic journey and I remembered my love and adoration for the story. I decided to pick it up again and I hits just as hard as when I first read it.
The story itself is Magneto’s origin story, and you can tell the writers took care and did research, both within comics and the real world history of the holocaust to weave together this backstory. In fact the comic does not just end with the story being rapped up, but is followed up with additional comics about real people, specifically the story of Dina Gottliebova, as well as the in-depth page by page breakdown of the authors choices and links/book list of everything they researched for the story and everything they think we should read as well.
You can tell that Greg Pak, the writer, and Carmine Di Giandomenico, the artist, truly care for the story they are telling and truly care for the recognition and remembrance of these events. And they do it with some of the most haunting visuals and situations. At multiple points while reading I had to take a break and return to the story due to just how heavy it could be.
Additionally they made the amazing choice to actually have Erik be virtually powerless during the story. They hint to his mutation multiple times but he has not fully manifested. Leading to another layer of tragedy regarding the fact that a lot of the situations he gets into, could have ended a lot better if he was aware of his mutation.
They also make the choice to show the evolution of the nazi power in Germany and the story often takes breaks to show time has passed, while filling in the reader in on the historical events that happen during the time switch. It really doesn’t feel like a superhero comic book but more of an educational graphic novel.
Lastly while the story obviously focuses on Erik, who’s birth name is Max, we learn more about his family and Magda, characters that are often glanced over in comics. And Pak does a really good job with this. While Max’s mom Edie, and sister, Ruth, get little time on the page, we learn of the interesting dynamic between Jackob, Max’s dad, and Erich, Max’s uncle(heavily implied to be Max’s inspiration for his later name). Jackob fought in World War 1 and believes in the good in the world, he believes things can’t truly get bad and that people will listen to the good in their hearts, best seen when he expects a man he saved in the war to help him out. Erich on the other hand can see that Germany is crumbling. It doesn’t help that he is public humiliated and beaten after sleeping with a German woman, but throughout the book he is seen to be the most likely to bend the rules, he becomes a smuggler and does other such things to keep his family alive.
Sitting here and writing this it almost feels like an early version of Erik and Charles, but nonetheless it becomes evident where Erik got his inspiration from.
On the topic of Magda, I just want to know more about her now. She’s introduced as this girl who Erik has a crush on, and that’s that. But she becomes his reason to live, and proves herself to be capable of doing what she needs to to survive, including laying among dead bodies. Honestly I know we are a Cherik nation but it makes sense why she was his first love and mother to their children.
Overall it is an amazing comic and I believe some of the most important and stunning stuff that Marvel has made. Please check it out if you can.
Lensherr - Maximoff - Dane Hair Head Cannons
- Erik’s signature silver white locks are a physical mutation. His original hair was brown with a hint of blonde and was much curlier as a boy. After the camps his main mutation manifested and he thought that was it, until he noticed what he thought was grey hairs. Except he was in his late teens. He assumed it was because of stress but the hair quickly changed shade over a few months. The hair also got straighter with this mutation but can still be teased into curls.
- This physical mutation ended up being genetic and he passed on odd color hair to Lorna and Pietro. The difference being his kids were born with it rather than developed it later in life.
- Erik was thrown quite a bit with how similar he and Pietro ended up looking. The same silver hair, except Pietro kept the curl, even if he often straightens it.
- Pietro never had a problem with his silver hair. Yes growing up with the Romani he was often teased for being the whiter of the twins, but he saw it as something cool and unique to him.
- Lorna hated her hair when she was younger. She was the victim of intense bullying even before her true mutation manifested. People saw her green hair and assumed she was mutant and something to hate.
- It took a while but she grew in to it. Her hair acceptance came with her acceptance of being a mutant.
- She also inherited her fathers curls and quite enjoys them.
- Wanda did not inherit any interesting colors. She takes after her mother and while her brother has her fathers face and her mothers features, she has the opposite.
- She keeps her hair long and has learned to care for her curls since she was young. In fact she was the one who taught Lorna to take care of her own hair, and is the one who forced Pietro into taking care of his even if he tries to straighten it.
- Overall they are just a messed up family with pretty hair.

How Charles came to love smoothies
Head canons based on my ‘perfect’ Xavier-Lensherr-Maximoff-Dane family universe
- after the events of days of future past, Charles focuses on the school. He knows very well that he needs help with his alcoholism but he pushes it aside and it isn’t very checked in on. He knows rehab is probably best but he puts the school first.
- Erik and Raven worry about him but he ignores it.
- Eventually when the baby twins come into the picture, Erik confronts Charles and they talk about his alcoholism and that he does need help, especially now that they have children to look after.
- They discuss rehab again but given that Charles now has a school to look after along with their two kids, especially since the only way to communicate with Wanda was with the help of Charles telepathy, they make the decision to instead get him a therapist and to join a support group, along with getting rid of all the alcohol in the house.
- Charles being the ‘support mutant business’ guy he is looks for a fellow telepath for a therapist, instead he finds an empath that works just as well.
- Charles really strives to be better but he finds it difficult given how he has relied on alcohol long before it was a problem. He’s also under a lot of stress with the school and kids which is making things more difficult than he needs.
- The empath suggests he finds a hobby, something to spend his time with to make him happy.
- Charles used to really enjoy making cocktails and mixing and creating new drinks. Of course that involved alcohol, so he looks for a substitute.
- He finds smoothies. The same sort of principles as mixing and creating so he gives it a try.
- However he falls in love.
- He starts making smoothies every morning before class, and making smoothies for dinner. He makes smoothie after smoothie.
- He makes health smoothies before Erik’s morning runs.
- He makes super sweet kiwi and honey smoothies for Peter.
- He makes peach smoothies for Lorna.
- He makes banana smoothies for baby Pietro.
- And he makes strawberry smoothies for baby Wanda.
- He makes mango smoothies for himself.
- Since Charles can’t cook this ended up being how he contributed to meals.
- Charles still struggles and due to not trusting himself he won’t allow him self to take a drink of anything alcoholic. Instead he makes smoothies, sometimes it helps, sometimes it’s tough, but he has Erik to keep him on track and his kids to make sure he wants to stay on track.
Cherik family head canons pt.2 or anything that didn’t fit into the last post
- Peitro could not sit still as a kid.
- Erik made metal jewelry for everyone, so he can track them in the house(his excuse is Charles can do it why can’t he). For Charles it’s his wedding ring, for Lorna it’s her metal pieces necklace, for Peter his goggles, For Pietro and Wanda, there star of David’s.
- Raven dyed Wanda’s hair one afternoon with the help of Lorna.
- Wanda wanted her hair to be like Ravens and claimed that all her siblings(but Piet, who later had his hair died by her and Peter) had colored hair so therefore she should to. Raven was just honored that her niece wanted her to help.
- Peter, being the oldest, became a substitute gym teacher. When he was 25, he became the permanent gym teacher.
- The kids love and hate him.
- Peitro’s first semi word was a slur of Peter and Papa. It is still an argument between Peter and Erik over who he said.
- Wanda’s first word was mama.
- Both dads were very confused.
- Erik calls Charles libeling
- He calls the rest of his kids shatz
- Charles calls Erik love or darling
- Charles calls Peter Pumpkin, Lorna Sweetheart, Pietro sunflower, and Wanda Sunshine.
- Erik had trouble with physical touch in the beginning of his and Charles relationship. Charles is a very touchy and cuddly person so Erik often felt guilty that he wasn’t comfortable with hugs and such. Charles always assured him it was alright and would often joke ‘as long as you still kiss me I’m alright’.
- Erik still felt guilty so he talked to Raven and during the first Hanukkah of their relationship, he got Charles a weighted blanket so he could ‘have a hug that was still from him’
- Charles has kept the blanket to this day. He takes it out when ever he is having a hard time or when Erik is away.
- Erik has gotten more use to physical touch so the need for the blanket isn’t as great a need nowadays. Still Charles holds on to it.
- The siblings are extremely protective of each other, and will go to war for one another.
- However Pietro is especially protective of Wanda, and on many occasions beat a kid up for something they said to Wanda.
- Even if Wanda and Pietro are twins, Wanda is still treated like the youngest sibling. This annoys her a lot. Especially when they baby her.
- Charles and Erik couldn’t be happier with the family they were given.

Cherik family head cannons pt. 1
- Quick summary: After DOFP, Erik stays with Charles. They start to date and eventually realize that after everything maybe their more than boyfriends and end up having a small non legal marriage(because fuck 1970 or anytime before 2015) they discuss the prospect of kids. Charles has always wanted children, and Erik has always wanted a large family to stick to Shaw. But they decide there not ready for kids as they are rebuilding the school. But of course that gets ruined when a women comes to their door claiming to need their help. This women is Natalya, the ‘best fiend’ of Magda, mom of Wanda and Peitro. Magda and Erik had gotten in a relationship a little before Erik was taken to the Pentagon. That resulted in the twins. But when they were born, Wanda’s mutation manifested and well the twins were taken but a mutant control organization. Magda later died. Natalya and made it her mission to find Erik, and the kids. So a little mission gets started and Natalya, who is a witch, and Erik break into the MCO to retrieve two practical babies. And of course Charles and Erik take them in with out question. A few months later Peter and Lorna show up looking for Erik, and they are integrated into the family.
- Wanda was a very quiet child, and was behind on development, while Peitro was the opposite.
- Lorna was 14 when she joined the family, and when Charles and Erik became her legal guardians. But Lorna held some resentment for Erik. Her mother had recently died due to cancer and she blamed Erik for not being there. However she did find comfort in Charles and quickly accepted him as her step dad.
- The first time Lorna called Erik Pa, he didn’t know how to respond and froze. She laughed.
- Peter didn’t give much of a fuck, and literally five minutes after the reveal of being Erik’s son he started calling Erik Pa, and Pops.
- All the kids decided that Erik was Pa and Charles is Dad.
- Wanda and Peitro called him Vati as well as Pa.
- Peitro’s mutation took some time manifest, but he was still fairly early. He manifested when he was two, and Lorna was the one watching the twins when it happened. He was just learning to walk and Lorna looked at Wanda for two seconds and he was gone.
- Peter almost threw a party when he found out his little brother was a speedster to.
- Charles burns water, Erik learns he loves to cook. Turns out Peter inherited this gift so the two are the main cookers in the family. Lorna will occasionally make pancakes and waffles from a box but that’s as much as she knows. Wanda, when she’s older, learns how to bake and loves it. Peitro only knows how to make smoothies and that’s it.
- Charles was an atheist for most his life, believing in science over religion, but he understood why it was very important to Erik that the children be raised Jewish. After a few years of celebrating Shabbat, Hanukkah, Passover, and visiting the synagogue, Charles started to feel more and more comfortable in Judaism and grew a connection with it, till eventually he converted.
- Because Wanda, Peitro, and Peter are Roma, and since Charles and Erik aren’t, and since Erik knows what it’s like to not be able to practice his culture, he and Charles got in contact with Magda’s brother, Django and his wife Mayra, who had recently immigrated to America, and made sure they could be Uncle Django and Aunt Mayra to the kids. They talked to the couple and explained how they wanted their children to be taught about their culture. Aunt Mayra and Uncle Django can often be found babysitting the kids or being over for family dinners.
- Natalya visits the twins every now and then. To them she is Aunt Natalya. But if the twins had never taken and her dear Magda had never died, than to the twins she would have been ‘mama’. However the twins were taken, and her dear Magda did die, so she remains Aunt Natalya.
- Raven is Aunt Raven to all the kids.
- A speed round of the aunts and uncles: Aunt Irene, Uncle Logan, Uncle Hank, and Aunt Emma
- Wanda was a selective mute when she was little. The only times she would talk would be to say the name of the person she wanted the attention of.
- Charles could read her mind and so she gravitated towards him since she could have a conversation without having to talk.
- Charles noticed that she had some telepathic abilities so he taught her how to send messages. She doesn’t use them often with anyone but her family.
- Wanda used to hide behind Erik’s legs when she was nervous. Or she would pull on his pant leg to ask to be picked up.
- With Charles, Wanda would pull on the blanket he normally has over his legs so that Charles would pick her up and she could sit on his lap.
- Once Charles taught an entire class with Wanda on his lap. She eventually feel asleep.
This is part one because somehow I wrote more than what was aloud on a text post haha
