So, Extella Link
While the story isn’t as strong as Extella, it’s still pretty decent, especially for a game that was clearly meant to fix up the gameplay issues of Extella. I have some issues with how they handled things like how this game caused the whole sequel or different continuity argument (I say Sequel because Altera Larvae and the Golden Poem route was basically a one chance thing) and Archimedes never having met Hakuno (which makes no sense since he’s the one that leads to Hakuno meeting Altera for the first time meaning without him Altera would have never awoken to begin with), it was still a decent story. Charlemagne and Karl being a single servant split into two was a nice concept and something I do hope they keep, at least in the Extraverse continuity. Would be cool to see how they are as one Heroic Spirit but that’s something Grand Order or a future Fate story can do. Loved Charlemagne and Karl and I really hope we do see them in the future games, especially since one of the last bond conversations with Karl has him wanting to adopt Hakuno and that’s adorable.
Even if it was a more minor game in the series, it’s got me excited for the next Extella game.
