icing on the cake

• Thinks Xion is nice as soon as he meets her
• Xion’s first words were Roxas’s name
• When Xion wishes him good luck on his mission he stutters and wishes her good luck too because friendship makes people nervous…?
• Brings Xion to the clocktower to eat ice cream, something he only does with his best friend when he barely knows her because… Ice cream?
• The first thing he thinks when he wakes up one morning is “I hope I have a mission with Xion today!”
• Actively tries to go on Missions with Xion and Xion only, he doesn’t really show an initiative to go with Axel after he befriends her
• Supports her the best he can before she gets a proper weapon
• Gapes when Xion first takes off her hood because that’s the totally friendly thing to do
• Gets more angry when Saix insults Xion then when Axel’s in  danger
• Because you know… Friendship.
• When Xion can’t use her weapon he gives her his then picks up a stick to fight with because that’s totally what friends do
• Fumbled when she said that it felt like she was holding his hand and replied with “Don’t say weird things like that!” 
• Because that doesn’t sound embarrassed or Tsundere-like at all. Right? ….Friendship??
• Admires her fighting abilities
• When he gets the ability to fly in Neverland he quickly laments how he can’t wait to tell Xion, exactly like Sora did with Kairi whom Sora loves romantically… 
• because…you know….friendship
• When Roxas goes into a coma Xion gathers Seashells and puts one on his pillow for every day he’s asleep and talks to his limp body sadly because she misses him so much and when he wakes up he acts like nothing happened even though Xion’s concern made him really happy.
• Gets borderline depressed when Xion goes into a coma to the point that Axel comments that he sounds like he really is heartsick when he shouldn’t have a heart at all
• Says that sharing ice cream isn’t the same without Xion even though he did the same thing with just Axel before Xion showed up
• When she was gone he said things like ‘Why has it been so painful for me since Xion left? I think I’m sad. It’s like every day is vague, shrouded in an ash-coloured haze, it’s like time is just passing.’ because that sort of feeling happens when your friend leaves even though you still have another one to talk to, right?
• Gathers Seashells just like Xion did and puts them on her pillow for each day she’s out and is absolutely ecstatic when she’s awake again even though her sudden sitting up gave him a heart attack
• He admits that he got the shells because it would make him so happy to see her face when she sees them
• Because we really need matching sea shells…to show…our very platonic friendship…yeah sorry Axel you don’t get any…because it’s exclusively a me and her thing…friendship???
• When she tries to get up and asks to go with him on his mission he immediately gets concerned and asks if she needs more rest…because sea shells
• They have this conversation: “Just feels strange, that’s all. Usually, I do all the worrying over you. I don’t think it’s ever been the other way around before.“ "Well, for your information… I worry about you all the time, Roxas.” in a totally platonic way…right?
• Immediately worries about her safety when she collapses again on the mission and only leaves her when Axel assures him that he’ll keep her safe while Roxas fights
• Is very salty when Axel carries Xion instead of him because…He feels like she’s his responsibility…? Sea shells??
• Freaks the FREAK out when Saix says stuff like ‘it broke again’ and ‘this doesn’t affect your stance with the organization’ and asks what the hell is wrong with him to treat Xion like that, because…friendship? Sea shells?? Ice cream???
• Riku says that Xion is someone ‘very special’ to Roxas like Kairi was to Sora who as preciously stated is in love with Kairi sooo….friEndshIp
• Doesn’t give a flying duck what anyone says about Xion and swears to protect her
• Tells Xion to "Cheer up, and smile for me” because that sounds nothing like what a lover would say, right??
• He yells ‘STOP’ when Xion and Axel fight then once more freaks the EVERLIVING FREAK OUT when Axel knifehands Xion and knocks her out and doesn’t trust Axel after it
• Even after all the crap they’ve both gone through, when he sees Xion on the clocktower and she offers him ice cream he takes it 
• Was super happy about it because he just wants to spend time with her again… I mean because friendship
• Was absolutely heartbroken and torn when Xion attacked him
• The first thing he asked Xion after he beat her was ‘Am I the one that did this to you?’
• Didn’t move away at all when Xion held his cheek in a totally platonic way
• Realizes what happened as soon as he felt her hand fall away because she wasn’t concious anymore
• As soon as he realized what was happening he cried out her name then basically asked “Who will be my friend?”
• Basically cuddled her when she was dying because…friendship…Ice cream??…she smells nice??…I love holding my friends close to my body and never wanting to let go of them ever??
• Looked up at Xion’s fading pieces in despair as she slowly died
• The first thing he thought of after she died was her smiling face because he cherished her smile and was very happy when she smiled, not because he liked her or anything baka
• Roxas, someone who’s called a Nobody, a being that’s supposedly unable to feel anything, cries. He cries and whispers her name in despair, shaking. 
• Because Xion totally wasn’t the light of his life
• Oh wait
• she was
• “I WANT XION BACK! I WANT MY LIFE BACK!”
