Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad(Manga)
The anime was great, the movie was great(almost mediocre, but hey, this is a biased, rock-music-loving post/rant) and the manga is totally stoking. Stoking, heh heh he…
The anime has 26 episodes, as far as i can remember, the plot of the anime is up until the Greatful Sound Summer Special 5(GSSS 5) and i believe that it ends there.. THE MANGA however, continues.. more hardships, more bad luck, more music-industry-mafia and more assholes.
The cameos from music artists is really enjoyable upon reading the manga. I mean, Snoop Dog can be seen here. Well, Kurt Cobain, Jimi Hendrix, Freddy Mercury and lots and lots of artist in an almost manga-like drawing.
In the anime, Koyuki is using a Fender Telecaster(custom i believe) but later in the story he’ll be using a Gibson SG. I tried to keep the spoilers down so, i just said why i love the manga so much now.
Gibson SG is my dream guitar.
