Ok but movie Faramir is lowkey so Preacher’s Daughter coded… and so is Eowyn tbh. Now I’m gonna go blast Sun Bleached Flies and think about them the whole time.
TFW your mother died when you were young and your father became cold and distant and would rather have a soldier than a son but your older brother tried to protect you to the best of his ability but at some point you have to fight even though you don’t really want to because none of you have ever known peace and your brother is starting to slowly end up more and more like your father but he still defends you against him and suddenly your father thinks you’re better off dead but then he dies and so does your brother and you never really got to reconcile with your father and your brother never really got to chance to stop fighting but now you have to move on with your life from the both of them even though it kills you. but hey at least you have a great wife.
Well, Well, Well if it isn’t one of my favorite sad blonde bisexual twunks who has parental issues, desperately needs therapy and a self esteem boost, and who ends up in their first serious relationship with a blonde woman.
(There are too many of them what do I do?)
These are the men in question btw
More Parallels That I Love
“Curse you! Curse the Wizard who brought you into this company!”
“Curse you! Curse you and all halflings!”
“Forgive me, I was too blind to see it. I am sorry that I have led you into such peril.”
“Forgive me, I did not see. I have failed you all.”
AND
“I wish to pass from you in friendship.”
“I would’ve followed you, my brother, my captain, my king.”
I could write a whole essay on the similarities and connections between their characters.

A Parallel I’ll Never Get Over
“The eagles! The eagles are coming!”
vs.
“the eagles. the eagles are here.”
when they go from enemies to annoyed acquaintances to protective friends to reluctant best friends to lovers
