So this happened

Lol ok

So my hubby and I both play Destiny. He has always been a Hunter main, where I used to main a Warlock through 1, switched to Hunter for 2.

I named both my characters.

Quin is my warlock and she is engaged to my husband's Hunter (who he refuses to give a name, so I just call him Hunter.)

Diana is my Hunter and isn't in a relationship currently.

Well like I said,I've been playing as Diana since 2 dropped so I made up a little au how Quin is having issues getting the Well of Radiance down so she's off mediating and training w/Osiris to get it down.

Leaving Diana to work and keep an eye on Hunter, who is feeling neglected by Quin and starts to find hismelf attracted to Diana (both are exo's btw). That's when he finds out Diana is part of the Drifters "crew".

He starts noticing that Drifter is doting on Di during Gambit matches, dropping exotics and "god roll" weapons at the highest light level (no, really, lmao and he's so salty about this), and sending gifts to the postmaster for her.

So he laments this at the ramen shop at the tower, growling and grumbling about their weird "relationship".

"my side chick has a side dude, this isn't cool!"

The ramen maker looks up and thinks, "if he's giving her stuff and special treatment....wouldn't that make him a sugar daddy?"

"MY SIDE CHICK HAS A SUGAR DADDY!"

Lady Luck: Name

"Oh, oh dear, the doors locked!" Di's ghost wavered as she slammed hard into the door, arms first.

"Ya don't say?" She sighed sarcastically, she waved one hand as she looked down at her boots, kicking away some hive dung she stomped through in her escape. "Get to it little ghost."

"Don't call me little," her ghost complained. "Everytime we come to help Sloane, something bad happens."

"Eh," Di shurgged, looking back down the stairwell. "We got this." She made a surprised 'oop!' as two acolytes appeared at the bottom, tossing down a void gernade that sucked the essence from them, reducing them to bones and dust.

"Why don't we ever go somewhere that people actually like us?" Ghost complained, it's little blue beam working on the door. Di was watching her gernade eat through a few thrall before it ran out, she popped off a few shots and looked to her ghost.

"Everyone likes us li--"

"Ah!" the ghost repremanded before Di finished speaking.

"Ugh," Di sighed, watching him work. She glanced at the bottom of the stairwell again and panicked as a knight with a sword and sheild appeared around the corner. It raised its sheild and slowly began to stomp up the steps.

Di took aim but the red glare from her sights told her she was empty for kinetic ammo.

"Uh!" She fumbled for her energy weapon, backing away as the knight lumbered closer. "Anytime now!"

"I'm almost--"

"JOEL!"

"I got it! Run Diana!" The door gave way, sliding to the side as Di ran through the opening crack, turning at the commands of "hard left!", "hang a right!" "big hole!" from her ghost. A less than encouraging, but frightening urge of "go! go!" speeding her into a surge of altered flight.

Di felt as if her feet barely touched the ground, it was almost like she were on her sparrow she ws running so fast. She came to an odd room with the door out of her path, luckily there was a cutout of the wall---despite her ghosts warning of "right! door. on. right!" she leaped through the cutout sideways, lunging into a roll and back onto her feet, sprinting up the stairs.

When the shooting stopped and she cleared the exit, Di stumbled, rolling across the deck until she stopped on her stomach.

"You okay?" Her ghost asked tentatively, floating aorund her head as she rolled onto her back and sighed heavily.

"A few bumps, couples snags but...I'm okay." She reached up and cupped his shell affectionately. "I'm sorry snapped...Damn Knight snuck up on us, and...I'm I called you little."

"You called me...'Joel'." He responded after a minute.

"I was in panic mode," She laughed a bit nervously, "I'm sorry."

"No it's okay," The ghost shook in its shell, rhe equivalent of a head saying no. "I...kinda....like it."

"Do you now?" Di laughed and sat up, watching as her ghosts eye flitted around a bit before he noddled. "Well, then Joel it is." She tapped the top of his shell and smiled, "How bout you fast travel us back to Sloane there Joel and we'll see about gettin you a new shell to go along with that new name?" She winked a cyan eye at him, and in return, he twitched his shell in a way that made Di think he was smiling at her.

Lady Luck: First Draft

“You probably won’t be able to leave the tower,” Zavala’s voice was hard and firm, but sympathetic. He wanted her to understand, but he knew it was hard news to take. Ikora was sitting on the edge of Diana’s bed, their latest book of study open to their last page. Diana looked to her for help, but the Warlock looked down into the yellowed pages before closing her eyes. Then the mute guardian looked to Cayde by the door, he seemed just as stunned as she.

“Is there something we can do?” The exo asked, pushing away from the door and stepping further inside the room, “Maybe some tech the cryptarchs…”

“No,” Ikora shook her head, “If it were meant to be…the travelers light would have healed her the way it did us when it decided to rebirth us as guardians…” She looked up to Diana, a soft—motherly smile on her lips. “Perhaps you could work as a cryptarch, or study as a Warlock to help out here in the tower.”

Fury flooded Diana, twisting and darkening her face as she began shaking her head slowly, then violently. She began lashing out against her limp legs in the bed, punching them repeatedly before Ikora stopped her.

“T-t-t-the tablet!” Cayde stuttered in desperation, shocked and worried at the outburst of anger from the new guardian. He was pointing to the glowing piece of tech by her bed. “Use the tablet!” Diana grabbed it, yanking her hands-free from Ikora’s grip as the woman sat back down in her place. Diana stabbed violently at the screen with her fingers, but a shaking hand caused her to lock the screen and only made her angrier, she nearly threw it across the room before she thought better of it and put it on her legs. She began using her hands, her mouth moving but no sound escaping as she tried desperately to communicate.

“Ikora, fix the tablet.” Zavala offered when Diana looked to her ghost and waved her hands.

“She says,” Her ghosts light voice halted as Diana began making movements with her arms. “You know that’s not how sign language works.” Diana’s face hardened before she went back to making the same sign again but in quick, angry bursts, making her ghost sigh. “She says,” Diana made an angry, disgusted face and gestured to her legs, smacking one before pointing to the floor. “She wants to walk again,” Diana rolled her hands over one another earnestly, “To run.” The Guardian in the bed nodded, pointing to her eyes, “To see,” Then she pointed out her window, to the mountains in the distance, “The outside.”

Diana made a gesture with her hands, a wall, then her fingers walking. “She wants to go outside the walls.” Diana nodded, then pointed to the vanguard members before gesturing to her ears, then to the book in Ikora’s hands, before finally holding up her arms in an ‘x’ shape. “She doesn’t want to hear about others tales, she wants to make her own.” This made Cayde look to Zavala who looked like he had something to say, but Diana’s ghost cut him off.

“She says,” Diana grabbed for the book in Ikora’s hand and pretended to read it, before shaking her head at her ghost. Slapping her right elbow with her left hand before making her hands appear to be claws, a look of rage on her face as she glared down at the picture of a fallen kell in her lap. “She doesn’t want to read about the enemy, she wants to fight.”

“But in the state your in,” Ikora began but Diana’s posture wilted, her energy sapped just from that burst of excitement. “We’ve upset you,” Ikora watched as tears streamed down Diana’s thin cheeks, free falling to her lap where her ghost flew to and nestled lovingly like a pet. “I am so sorry Diana…” After a moment, tears still flowing, Diana reached for the tablet by Ikora and opened it slowly. Her anger faded, she was able to work it more smoothly. She tapped out a short message and showed it to all three vanguard members.

Whatever you have to do. Do it. I HAVE TO FIGHT.
