Heir to the demon.
YUZURU HANYU SKATING TO "ONE SUMMER'S DAY" FROM "SPIRITED WAY" ON HIS SOLO ICE SHOW "GIFT" AT TOKYO DOME (2023)
17th February, second Olympic Gold anniversary
The most memorable moment while performing at the Olympics was this last step sequence. At the time I was feeling that “I had won”. I let my joy explode and skated. When I launched into the 3 Lutz before this step sequence, I went into the air in a funny direction and it would not have been surprisingly had I fallen, but I managed to stay on my feet. I was very amused at the fact that I didn’t fall, and after that I laughed at myself and well, I was just myself skating.
In a way, because you’re supposed to be doing a performance, you’re not supposed to just exude your own happiness. I don’t think this is how it should be. SEIMEI who I portrayed in my FS is a mysterious person who is unfathomable. However, during that last step-sequence, I was just me. “Hey, I’m just simply happy!”
This is what it was like.
But thinking back, that moment was alright the way it was. It was a joy I could only feel at this particular Olympics, and I felt this properly, and I probably wanted this to remain in my memory forever. I am still going to live on for many decades and this moment that will never come back to me, is something I’d like to remember and enjoy from the bottom of my heart.

Broken the world record 19 times. The first to break the 100, 200, and 300 point barriers. The only male single skater to have achieved a super slam. Back to back Olympic gold medals. First skater to have ever landed a quad loop in competition. Six time national champion.
What an amazing journey, Yuzuru Hanyu.

I can’t believe Sailor Moon and Winnie the Pooh had a crossover!!!

Part I (Jump Identification) || Part II (Jump Combinations)
Figure skating jumps are identified by the way the skater takes off the ice. Here are simple ways to tell them apart, using layman-friendly terms.
There are 6 different types of jumps (in order of base value): Toe loop (T), Salchow (S), Loop (Lo), Flip (F), Lutz (Lz), Axel (A).
Since Yuzuru rotates anti-clockwise in the air, these examples are for anti-clockwise jumps. For clock-wise jumpers, the left and right would reversed.
EDIT: The toe, lutz and flip can look confusingly similar. Just remember, for the toe, the skater rotates away from the foot on the ice and for the flip and lutz, the skater rotates towards the foot on the ice.
STOP THIS.
I can not stress enough how disrespectful this is.
I didn’t even write it and I’m embarrassed that someone in our fandom did this.
I get it, Yuzuru is an adorable cinnamon roll and to the yoi fans, like a real life yuuri. But he’s NOT Yuuri. The similarities stop at being a japanese skater and having a plush tissue box (seriously that’s it).
Yuzuru is a FOUR TIME GOLD MEDALIST, and just won gold again. He’s a clean, professional skater, and while i love Yuuri, comparing Yuzuru to Yuuri who, while being a great skater, placed last at the last gpf, and may possibly not win this one, is wrong and disrespectful. You might as well be comparing Yuuri to Victor when it comes to skating talent, and we all know Victor is ten times better.
Fans of Yuzuru are lashing out at the yoi fanbase because of this, and i cant apologize enough to them because someone in our fandom thought this was a good idea.
Thanks to the idiot who did this, because now the real skating fan community hates us. 😰😤😠😡.
Please, go watch Yuzuru skate, and you will understand why it is important that you dont compare the two. As a hardcore yoi fan myself, i found that disturbing.
I hope our fandom doesn’t start doing that to other skaters. 😓i get how fans like yuzuru bc of yoi, hell i found an interest in iceskating period bc of the show, and the show did draw my eye to him, but they’re not the same.
God why cant ppl just like both without having to do this?
