As someone with a disability, and a vegan, I feel like I should do something for animals that also have a disability.
Animals in a shelter with a disability, like blind animals, deaf animals or animals with a limb difference, are often overlooked in favour of able bodied cats. Black cats too are less likely to be adopted!
So if a lot of people have a preference for non disabled animals then I've decided to have a preference for adopting disabled animals. And if enough people get on board, maybe we can balance this out so everyone's just as likely to go to a good home!
This is what I'm calling IDA or Interspecies Disabled Allyship. Or Disabled Allyship Across Species DAAC. Allyship for Disabilities Despite Species or ADDS. The acronym is a work in progress-
There are a few principles to this:
- Try to learn about the care for different kinds of disabled or otherwise unwanted animals.
- Don't push yourself to get an animal you're really not qualified to care for. Getting the knowledge to care for an animal with a lot of medical issues is great too, but if you can't commit to that then it's best to leave that animal for a home that is qualified to give them the best care.
- Don't feel like you have to exclude non disabled animals. This is just a reminder to look for animals with disabilities first and consciously include them in your options. But if you bond with an animal without a disability, don't feel like you have to pass up on your furry best friend.
- Adopt don't shop. The selling of animals takes homes away from cats in shelters. And some irresponsible breeders kill disabled or otherwise "undesirable animals" and promote the idea that some animals are better then others based on their genetics. Adopting unwanted animals from breeders is fine but try not to put money into an industry that treats animals like products rather then pals.
I really encourage vegans especially to consider this. Every movement is better when it's more intersectional.
Realising Devil's Minion are Symbrock coded made me come to a HALT. Armand is like Venom, little squiggly powerful dude who likes eating people and attaching themselves to a human reporter. And Daniel is like Eddie, always after crazy stories and in love with the most insane gremlin.
i really thought "god please take black"s coma and give it to whoever hurt him".. and then black did.. i mean god did (is there a difference like black IS pretty much god).. and gave his coma to todd lmaaooooooo
with minimal changes this is what i would've done (fix-it)
Realising Daniel is the opposite of the 'wise old man' trope. Like he is clever, but also he's the youngest and he doesn't give a fuck, he just wants his damn story. Only exception to this is Louis, but also technically Louis is the wise old man in Daniel's story
The fact that one of the few times vampire powers are used to save someone, it is Claudia saving Madeleine 😭💖
In fact vampire powers are used only three times in the show as a 'good' act. Louis saving Claudia from the fire, Claudia saving Madeleine from those men, & Louis saving Daniel from Armand's brainwashing.
People try to put down Jily because James was horrid to Sev and yes I agree.. but imagine being Lily.. your best friend betrays you for your oppressors who hate your very existence, your sister too hates you for your very existence and you seem to have no place where you are fully accepted. And then there's this dude who has always been an immature ass.. but who stands by you like a rock against those discriminating assholes.. this guy you've always hated is the one guarding your back as you guard his on the battlefield where you're outnumbered 20 to 1... this guy who could have carried on his shitty bullying habits into the future, but instead chose to fight against the monsters who want to eradicate you when your own best friend left you for them... this guy who loves every bit of you from the magic to the non-magic and to your very bones he worships the hell out of you... he will die for you and he does.
I don't know man, but that level of character development is an understandable reason to marry a dude ❤
The thing about James is that he was in the perfect position in the war. He was born into a wealthy pureblood family who had no ties to death eaters. He was canonically both academically gifted (head boy) and athletic (quidditch captain) and probably could have had a good career or even just used his family's money to support himself for the rest of his life. He didn't have to join the war. He didn't have to marry a muggleborn and die for her and their baby.
Just like he didn't have to become an illegal animagus (and put himself at risk of being killed, injured, turned into a werewolf himself, or getting sent to Azkaban) just to make sure Remus didn't have to go through his transformations alone. He and his family didn't have to take Sirius in and treat them as their family. He didn't have to save Snape's life.
Those were all choices he made. Treating Snape the way he did was a choice, too, and it was undoubtedly the wrong one. But stopping and growing up was a choice that is just as- if not more- important. And the way he handled himself during the war is inarguably the most important choice of all of them.
they came up with a stupid shape for panties then decided it's the pussy who's wrong and you should remove the hair sticking out.......... the state of this world
So it looks like NaNoWriMo are happy to have AI as part of their community. Miss me with that bullshit. Generative artificial intelligence is an active threat to creativity and the livelihoods of hundreds of thousands of people in creative fields.

something something Devil's Minion being like a very dark version of Hualian. The whole god/devotee aspect of it. Daniel literally calling Armand his god and himself the devil's minion.. the vibes are vibing hbriebgeri
San Lang saying to Xie Lian "I am forever your most devoted believer." San Lang worshipping his god which makes him ascend to godhood & also descend and become a calamity just like with Daniel becoming a vampire, wanting forever with Armand.
Hua Cheng to Xie Lian: "The one standing in infinite glory is you; the one fallen from grace is also you. What matter is 'you' and not the state of you." TELL ME this isn't Daniel asking Armand if he wanted a drink after Louis leaves the penthouse.. albeit in a very fucked up way lmao but yeah Daniel not caring about the 'state' of Armand (though he enjoys knocking him down a peg) and simply wanting his company.
And Xie Lian to Hua Cheng: "Only after having met you did I rediscover that it's such a simple thing to he happy." Which is SO Armand coded like he really does discover the joys of life with Daniel and how easy it can all be with the right person (though they still need a LOT of time to become 'right' for each other).
And the whole Wu Ming and San Lang versions of Hua Cheng being like the show's version of Past and Present Daniel. I don't even want to start how Xie Lian fits as both Armand AND Louis in Daniel's life. Like "Make me your reason to live." and "Listen to me as though I'm a God.. There's stories that need to be told." Xie Lian/Louis being the lifelines of Hua Chen/Daniel. Damn I might need to make a whole different post for Hualian/Danlou parallels fbbhbherjhf

Entering subspace in 3 2 1…
The vampire world putting out WANTED posters with Daniel/Louis's faces on them and Armand/Lestat sneaking around ripping off those posters & setting them on fire. Meanwhile Louis is broadcasting his location to Vamp FM & Daniel is giving live interviews.
Lestat and Armand found screaming crying throwing up.
