i've been watching so many phasmophobia videos recently so hear me out: ghost hunter crew with alex, sabina, tom, and kyra.

alex has the highest intuition/ speed so he's the one who mostly explores the haunts and finds evidence but he's always either the unluckiest or luckiest, no in-between. he pulls off a lot of dodging maneuvers but drops their collective sanity by a whole lot as a result. just take the sanity meds, alex.

tom also runs into the place with full confidence and spirit box and inevitably gets spooked when the ghost responds or yaps during a hunt and almost gets killed. really good at hearing interactions, counting footsteps, and noticing when the ghost has stepped in salt so he carries around uv to check for footprints/ fingerprints. he always has insanely good luck and the ghost somehow just ignores him.

sabina stays in the van or scampers around the house putting down various items, guiding them along to the power box and checking on their sanity. she's very very damn good at finding hiding spots but the banshee always targets her without fail for no reason. she and tom forget to turn off their flashlights half of the time but she always has a crucifix with her so she should be fine.... right?

kyra is the absolute best at finding the twins and ghost orbs through the activity chart and cameras. she spends half of the time exasperatingly checking the cameras for ghost orbs and the other half running around the house with alex. carries around incense most of the time because she hates being left helpless during a hunt.

anyways... i have many ideas for a plot for this one :)

There are days when he wishes that he had run back to Russia, disappeared into its unforgiving winters and buried himself into Moscow’s streets, and today is not a day he expected to feel such a thing.

It does not take much for Alex Rider's life to fall apart in his hands. He copes, wheedling information about his late uncle and pretending to be fine with the missions MI6 sends him on. Now, if only that one Russian assassin would stop preventing him from taking revenge on his uncle's murderer...

I had a dream in which there were 2 alex rider fanfics (based on the show) where after Ian's death Alex found out Wilby was a traitor and he started hating him so much that he ordered Yassen to kill him for Alex. I wasn't able to read the whole fic before I woke up😭

So if anybody wants to write that let me know

On that note: I’ve also started writing for my Stormbreaker AU, although I anticipate it to be a shorter 2-shot because I have the attention span of a goldfish and like writing shorter fics LMAO :D

the way im like 'damn people need to acknowledge that yassen quite willingly works for a terrorist organisation and isnt actually a good person" but i know for a fact that if i wrote a fic my characterisation of him probably wouldnt be that great 😭😭 i am a HYPOCRITE

also i enjoy fics where we dont look too deeply into his morals - its self indulgent okay

Yes I have seen the gifs for season 3!! As I've said, I'm not a huge TV series watcher, but I love the expressions that Farrant makes, they're so on point lol. But I literally love your ideas so much lemme go through them 😭

OKAY I've always been a bit curious on what MI6 would do if they really deported Jack- after Stormbreaker, I don't think MI6 would ever let Alex go and without Jack, everything would only get worse for Alex. (ALSO: i've written a post-mission alex breakdown scene before for a time loop fic i never finished LMAO if you're interested i can send it your way!!)

BUT ALSO Alex teetering on the edge of losing it all would only be quickened by the loss of Jack and once the truth comes out- well, there's not much tethering him to his past life other than Tom, who unfortunately doesn't know anything.

AND I would love Apprentice! Alex, although I think tying it in with SCORPIA would be a whole pain to figure out LOL. And the wording of Yassen being quietly furious is. UGH it's so good.

Yassen carrying out orders for Alex is always such a self-indulgence to read haha. I think it would work really well with both Yassen-killed-Ian or Wilby-killed-Ian. There would be a different feel in the Yassen-killed-Ian AU- Ian's death haunts them in a different way because there's this underlying unwillingness to forgive and a sense of fury and loss on Alex's side and an inability to truly feel sorry for killing Ian (other than the fact that it hurt Alex) on Yassen's end, because Yassen would just like. Rather die than face the consequences of choosing Alex over SCORPIA or vice versa (as we see in the book). In the Wilby-killed-Ian AU there would definitely be a smoother dynamic cause they mirror each other so well and Alex deserves a little Yassen-inflicted murder as a treat.

Anyways, they start with Wilby (YES) and then go to Blunt (EVEN BETTER). Yassen pulling Alex back is just. Ugh. It's not even a role reversal but like,, THE PARALLELS OKAY the hurt/ comfort yes yes yes. AND THE FAKE DEATH (John Rider hello????) YES I would love to see MI6 react to that. :)

Alex Rider dies with a bullet to the lung, choking on his own blood, alone and terrified. Jack Starbright screams in Tulip’s face, as if she can bring the boy back with the force of her grief, all-consuming and hungering. "We miscalculated," she tells Crawley, as if it will fix anything. "Gregorovich holds no affection beyond his past mentor." (Miscalculations get agents killed all the time, but Alex was a child.)

An assassin codename??? I honestly have been thinking about it and can't really mentally connect any name to Alex other than... Alex,, but I would absolutely love to see Alex's codename being connected to Cossack, the same way Hunter and Cossack was said. :D

Alex seeing Ian's death himself?? In the Wilby-killed-Ian AU, it would just. Immediately change him in ways that didn't happen in canon. It would definitely take a toll on him- I think a big part of Alex falling into MI6 was also his curiosity but knowing who killed Ian and being unable to do anything about it? Or later on he starts to grapple with the fact that he didn't do anything in that moment and saw his uncle get shot? Just, ouch. And the thing is, Wilby is not like Yassen or Ash- he is not well-connected or skilled enough to get away with it, and doesn't care about the Riders in any way. The truth would tear Alex apart.

ALSO IF YOU'RE THINKING OF WRITING IT?? AND DRAWING ILLUSTRATIONS??? Go for it!! Writing fic is super fun and I will 100% read it if you do. :D
